Course Description
Are you ready to become a true expert in web automation and end-to-end testing using the world's most powerful non-Selenium testing framework—Cypress? Then you're in the right place. This fully updated and comprehensive course is your one-stop resource for mastering Cypress with confidence.
From the very beginning, this course is built to be highly practical and hands-on. You’ll start coding right away and dive deep into web automation, learning to interact with web elements using the robust and intuitive Cypress API. You'll work through real-world end-to-end testing scenarios, apply best practices, and explore advanced features and patterns that will set you apart as a true Cypress professional.
But that's just scratching the surface. You'll also gain in-demand skills like:
REST API testing with Cypress
Running Cypress inside Docker containers
Leveraging Cypress plugins and extensions for added functionality
Generating rich test reports using Mocha
We’ll also teach you how to implement App Actions and the popular Page Object design pattern, crucial for writing clean, scalable, and maintainable test suites. You’ll dive into Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) using Cypress + Cucumber, and take your testing even further with visual regression testing using the Percy library.
This course doesn’t stop at just local testing. You'll learn how to take your automation setup into the cloud using BrowserStack, work effectively with XPath, and even build robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, enabling seamless continuous integration for your projects.
And because career growth is part of your journey, we’ve also included interview preparation resources, so you’ll be equipped to confidently tackle technical interviews and land automation roles with ease.
Throughout the course, you'll have access to a supportive, collaborative learning environment. Our Q&A section is active and welcoming, full of expert advice, solutions to common challenges, and tips shared by both the instructor and fellow students. The content of the course is very very good, and the teacher explains everything in a very good way, but some parts/sections of the course are outdated (march 2026, with videos recorded in 2020) and no longer relevant. Also, most of the instructions are for Mac/Unix based users and sometimes can be tricky to solve that on Windows.

So far looking good . The app actions and page object frame wprok set ups are explained beautifully in details. But I think I need a project set up for API testing as well some thing similar like app actions framework and page object framework pattern. with involvement of some function files , helper functions and command set ups etc.

The course covers a lot of areas concerning Cypress itself and plugins that can be used with it. Sometimes, I missed an explanation why certain commands have been used, but overall, it was a great experience and it breaks the ice concerning technologies that can be used along with Cypress (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, etc.).

Starting with a new project team, I was able to put many of the concepts taught here to use right away. Very good training with a lot of examples. Maybe adding a section on the testing playground would be helpful, stumbled onto that while researching another issue on the internet.

Kaniel is one of the clearest concise teachers on Udemy. All his lectures runs correctly and you can focus on learning and you don't have to debug the homework problem or lecture code. He makes an effort to check all his lectures are updated and correctly running so students can learn with ease. His lesson plans are well thought out and clear and he provides the code for you to use if you do not want to type along. Buy his courses, he is an excellent teacher!

Cypress is explained in different topics and I can follow and set up the Cypress easily. Overall a very good introduction to Cypress. However, there are too many duplicate project setting videos which take me too much time. Also, I do not feel like to see the past videos in the course which makes me think whether I need to watch them again.

Concepts are very clear and straightforward. I would recommend some basic knowledge in javascript before you can actually take the course. The only downsize is that no code for lessons is available so you need to pause and code but the good thing is that forces you to practice and see syntax errors, etc. Another thing should be to delete old content of the course. This is a great course for learning Cypress!

Overall, an excellent course. Short lectures, easy to follow course material. My only suggestion would be to have "code dumps" after every so many sessions. I ended up pausing the video just to catch up with the instructor on many occasions. Other than that, it's a great course, I enjoyed taking it.
