Course Description
Automated testing is a vital part of modern application development. Of course, website development is no exception here - you must be able to run automated tests to efficiently detect bugs and regressions.
This course teaches you how to write and run end-to-end (E2E) tests with Cypress - one of the most popular web development E2E testing tools you can use these days!
You will learn:
What exactly Cypress is and why E2E testing matters
How to install and use Cypress
How to write and run E2E tests with Cypress
How to simulate realistic website user flows by selecting elements and simulating user interaction (button clicks, keyboard typing & more)
How to write good assertions (and what assertions are)
Which core features and concepts Cypress offers
How to use basic and more advanced Cypress concepts
How to efficiently test third-party code
How to deal with network (HTTP) requests and databases
How to test user authentication flows
And much more!
All these topics will be taught from the ground up, with no prior Cypress knowledge required! You do need basic web development and JavaScript knowledge though.
This course focuses on the core Cypress concepts and explores all basic as well as various more advanced Cypress features.
By the end of this course, you'll have a solid set of Cypress fundamentals and you'll be ready to dive deeper into Cypress and end-to-end testing!

Although basic prior knowledge is required, with this course I have learned a lot about the management and functioning of Cypress. I would still recommend some clarifications on the installation and configuration of the tool to make it more complete. Excellent course! Thank you very much!

Too many video glitches, using Chrome. I even switched to FireFox, little better but still problematic. Reviewing my rating: Found that the problem was because I had 3 monitors going. When I scaled down to 2 monitors, videos played flawlessly.

As always, Maximilian doesn't fail to deliver a smooth approach to technical teaching. Everything is well explained and all the concepts covered by the course are explored to a level that allows users to understand the meaning of each particular part in great detail.

Max is always the best teacher for front-end and Javascript-based courses, I have every course starting from the Angular course, and he never lets me down when I need to learn something new from his courses. This is the best introduction to Cypress and I learnt a lot from it. Thank you, Max.

HEy Very good Course Thank you I've learned a lot and thank you for that - the half star less jus because i feel that the Cypress settings were to shortly described but reasuming the course is great - Thank you!

Never expected less from Mr. Max, his course is top notch as usual. After purchasing his other courses in React Js, DSA, MERN stack, I knew this would be no different. He really covers all the concepts of E2E testing using Cypress. Do yourself a favor and get this course, you won’t regret it

This was a great course on learning Cypress. I had experience with Jest and Puppeteer but really liked what Cypress had to offer. I learned what I needed to start implementing test into my current projects for both e2e testing but also testing individual API endpoints.

Really amazing course. every module he took different Node JS projects for explaining different Cypress commands and the way he wrote the code and explanation is very awesome. I really liked the course and recommend as well. happy learning.

I believe this is a good match for me, but I will know for sure when I write my proof of concept next week. This course assumes that you have experience with Javascript and I did have some struggles with the setup and following along. I would like more practice in this course. It was challenging to follow along! I have been writing my scripts in Selenium using Java, but our Java wizard suddenly died, and now all of our programmers mainly code in Javascript. I need to write my tests in javascript to get the team dynamic of testing going most effectively. The explanations and examples were very good, but to truly learn this, I still need to be able to make it work in our application. Thank You!

Well explained, not too deep (but it's a "getting started" course). Really good to get an overview and get started. Could use another chapter at the end with some deeper concepts and gotchas, e.g. how to use .env secrets, best practices regarding testing locally / on dev / on production, when to run tests and more that I don't know about. The "cypress-realworld-app" linked to at the end gives a good overview though. I would also prefer having little exercises in between.
