Generally a good course, covers everything I wanted it to cover (plus of course there is another course by same author that covers advanced DSA topics), but there is a one thing I would personally change. Please try to use the Clean Code practices, it was really hard for me for me sometimes to figure out what does a certain variable do, please don't name your variables a,b,c.

By Matthew Beckinsale on 2/7/2023

Explanations were very good on some topics but in other topics they were a bit too broad for my liking. Furthermore, it was quite difficult to understand what the teacher was saying at times. This was more frustrating probably because for certain points the subtitles weren't able to pick up what was said either. Other than that though, the course was good!

By Hayden Ball on 6/7/2022

The information in this course is excellent. The only thing preventing 5 stars is that the instructor is very hard to understand at times. So much so that the sub titles cant even pick up what she is saying. I especially had a tough time with this during the recursion section. Otherwise, this course is great!

By Charles Hatsell on 2/12/2022

It was quite good. There was some issue with the inflection of the voice at times, and I did have to watch a few parts a few times to get the words exactly. I really enjoyed the consistency of each lesson (theory + example + code example). This is a course I'll probably be going back to regularly to refresh my memory on various sorting algorithms or heaps.

By Konstantinos Alexopoulos on 11/30/2020

This is an excellent course and the instructor is clearly fully qualified and very knowledgeable on the subject! In-depth, thorough explanations of the algorithms with easy-to-understand graphical aids! The comments about the instructors pronunciation are grossly exaggerated. True sometimes pronunciation can be somewhat difficult to understand (premade English subtitles would definitely help here) but really nothing important enough to diminish the depth of the content within the course. Also special mention for the quizzes which are some of the best I've seen on a Udemy course! I'm only ambivalent about the decision not to include the code files...on the one hand this is good as it forces us to really engage with the course and the lectures, on the other it does make copying/checking/debugging the code somewhat difficult with a lot of video-pausing/searching.

By Badrul Hussain on 10/1/2020

She simplifies complex topics using diagrams to show you what the code is doing step by step and the memory state. The BEST! course on data structure and algorithms I came across let alone on C#. The only downside is her accent at few parts on some of the vidoes but if you follow the code and her diagrams you'll understand it all. But the course is better than anyone's data structure and algorithm out there where the other instructors overcomplicate certain topics to look smart or badly explain it.

By Aleksei Korshunov on 8/7/2018

While the course was definitely useful and there is nothing wrong with the algorithms, I've got a feeling that there wasn't enough C#-specific details and best practices. Several examples: 1) When you write an implementation of an algorithm and wish to test it, a console application isn't really the best idea. What you really should do is to write a unit test(s) using *Unit (NUnit/xUnit/...). 2) Using 9999 (IIRC) as a maximum integer isn't a good idea in .Net. You want to use built-in int.MaxValue (or double.MaxValue, or long.MaxValue - you get the picture) 3) It would've been nice to talk a bit about generic implementation of these algorithms in C#. Yes, it is not hard - provided you know what you are doing - yet generics allow you to write an algorithm for any data type which supports comparison and that deserves mentioning. 4) It would've been nice to say something about existing implementations of the algorithms in .Net. For example, .Net provides binary search tree, hash table, stack, queue, sorting, binary search, etc. I kind of hoped to hear something about their limitations: basically, when would someone wish to use alternative implementations? Maybe there are decent Nuget packages out there? Also, there is an interesting topic of tail recursion optimization in .Net which could've been discussed further...

The concepts are very clearly explained. The illustrations are great. The course covers everything that one could use as to refresh their knowledge on data structures and algorithms. I feel this is even a good starter course for someone who is a fresher to the study of data structures and algorithms. Also a great source to prepare for interviews. Not really necessary, but a nice to have feature: Would be great if the complexities were discussed for each of the data structure operation. For example what is the Best/Average/Worst case time complexity for inserting a node in linked list. If one goes through the first module, this will be pretty evident. Hence a nice to have and still a 5 star rating. Thanks for making this great course.

By Qian Li on 5/23/2017

The course is really good with lots of schematic diagram. The concepts are also well explained. The four star rating is basically due to the instructors accent and some minor code quality issue. For example, property and private field, naming convention etc. But overall, this course is very good for beginners.

By Jack Torres on 10/2/2016

Great course. Lots of great code and good explanations. However, I would not recommend to a friend. Aside from a thick accent (which is okay), the presenters voice will randomly go up an octave like a hiccup and it can be very distracting and hard to understand sometimes. Honestly, I wish I could give 5 stars because she really knows what she is talking about. But you need to know what you are getting yourself into before purchasing the course.
