Course Description
I was a manager myself, so I know the challenge of getting the best from my team members – using their time well, keeping them motivated, and developing new skills.
And I also know the pressures on your time, now you have more responsibilities.
The solution to both is... Delegation.
It doesn’t matter how good you are at doing stuff: once you become a manager or supervisor, you need to be able to delegate.
And that’s what you’ll learn by the end of this course.
You'll be able to delegate with the confidence that the task is under control.
What you'll get
You’ll get 18 lecture modules and 7 assignments, going deep into the craft of delegation.
so you’ll be able to delegate precisely and with confidence that the work will be done…
And done well.
A lot of your learning will come from exercises.
They are short 'thinking' exercises, that will help you find a lot of the answers for yourself.
I will brief you by video on each exercise.
And then I'll debrief you in a second video lecture. In that, I'll share the best answers I have, for each of the questions I set you.
This course has five sections
In the Introductory section, we’ll talk about
what delegation is
how to avoid reverse delegation, where you end up doing the work your team members are supposed to be doing for you.
A lot of new managers, supervisors, team leaders, and project managers find it hard to delegate.
They give all sorts of reasons why they don’t do it.
So, in section 2, we’ll look at those excuses, and why they are bogus.
Delegation is a powerful organizational tool.
But only when used for the right reasons.
In section 3, we’ll look at:
the positive reasons to delegate,
the reasons you should never use for delegation, and
the tasks that you should keep to yourself, and not delegate at all.
Section 4 is the main part of this course.
You’ll learn the five-step process for delegating effectively, and we’ll tear down each step to understand how it works.
Finally, in section 5, we’ll wrap it all up.

Constantly freezing, trying to watch it was terrible. I had to quite and find a different training.

The online class Delegation Without Stress teaches managers how to delegate effectively by choosing the right tasks, matching them to the right people, and providing clear instructions and support. It emphasizes monitoring progress without micromanaging and giving constructive feedback. The key takeaway is that proper delegation boosts efficiency, develops the team, and reduces manager stress.

Clear and concise concepts and practical examples. Knowledge learned in course can be applied immediately. Instructor gives students opportunities to understand subject and theory in real examples that resonate across any industry. Highly recommend for those who want to learn theory behind effective delegation.

The course was very informative. I learned a lot in terms of delegation. A good number of assignments (not too many, just about right). Thorough explanations and examples that can be used in real-life scenarios, especially in an office-based setting.

The content was great and insightful. There is so much to understand about delegation and Mike gives a deeper tone to the whole training that gives a sense of being in personal session. My only feedback is to reduce the volume of the music that plays in the beginning and the end of the video as its too jarring and when Mike starts speaking it's not very audible. Please reduce that it was the only annoying thing about this course.

I am grateful taking the chance to have this course. Getting limited knowledge on delegation, I got to explore the details, steps, and strategies in applying "delegation" in actual workplace. Positive mindset, patience, and building trust are important factors to delegate tasks. My initial concept on delegation is just giving task. After finishing this course, I came to realize that delegation is a procedural task entailing proper attitude and commitment.

It was a good match, having been in management for > 30 years I found that I was already doing the vast majority of this but didn't perhaps realise I was or more importantly understand why - it reinforced for me the "carrot over the stick" principles that I adhere to.

I really enjoyed the course, short and to the point, but with a lot of information and guidelines! I learned a lot from Mike, I will for sure change my attitude toward delegation and I think the outcome of my delegation skills will be better and more successful than in the past! Thanks a lot!

This course had completely changed my attitude towards delegation. It isn't about "dumping" your work onto someone else. It is about trusting and developing others so that they can grow, learn and develop their careers and hopefully create a pool of individuals to take over - Succession plan - as people move on or retire.

Yrs, you can’t scale dependency. In order for you to focus on the more timely and important projects, tasks and goals, it requires letting go of being a control freak and trusting the people you work with.
