A little :) bit outdated. And yes, from my point of view the cloudfront description is too brief

Nice course. AWS ECS screen-shots look a little dated. It will be good to update them.

Completely Outdated and useless. Better don't buy this unless the course is updated. I can't believe that this course dates back to those days when cloudformation templates was in JSON

First of all, the fact that the UI has changed, makes it really hard to follow. Secondly, the course is inconsistent, it seems it comes form a copy-paste of steps that were done individually, so for somebody who is trying to redo the same steps this will never work. So far I had one security group inbound rule not configured (luckily I was able to figure it out quickly by myself), and also the resources(memory, CPU) at some point are misconfigured initially, then it doesn't run, but the next time we see this screen the instructor has changed it without telling us, so his works and our won't. Another point for improvement is that there should be some high level explanation about ECS, this is exactly why I took this course. The high level explanation is not given unfortunately, so you're clicking around without really understanding what you are doing. Finally, every time we need to go to another service, for some reason the instructor is telling us how to login to AWS. So in the end you have seen about 10 times how to login to AWS and at the same time important explanation on configuration options are rushed through. There is a lot of improvement needed for this course, the base is there, but for now I would not recommend it to anyone for the full price.

This was a great course. I was recently added to an AWS ECS project, and needed a quick, yet comprehensive overview.

I like how he is precise and explains only as much as I require to understand.

Very good course will take you through whole process of running docker on your EC2 instance.

A very general and basic overview of ECS. Not comprehensive and lacks specifics regarding task definitions, autoscale, current logging strategies, application load balancing, target groups, or IAM ecs service roles. Perhaps it's worth watching at 1.25 speed through section 3 before reading through the AWS docs as a warmup.
