"What an amazing course! After finishing this course, I have confidence. Thank so much Dr Peter Alkema" ... "This is exactly the jump-start I needed. Very clear and concise"
I lead Digital Transformation & Architecture at ABB and I've been featured on CNBC Africa and won the Gartner CIO Of The Year in 2016. I founded and led the largest banking hackathon in South Africa which was published in 2019 as a case study by Harvard Business School.
I've taught over 100,000 students about technology, business, academics and self-development. In 2020 I completed my PhD at Wits University In Johannesburg. The study introduced a ground-breaking theory of Agile software development teams. My woodworking book was published in 2014 and has sold over 10,000 copies.
Olugbenga Gbadegesin: "Excellent delivery" / Lebogang Tswelapele: "This is what I have been longing for" / Paskalia Ndapandula: "Peter speaks with so much clarity" / Amantle Mangwedi: "It was straight to the point and the sections are cut into nice short segments which made it easier to go through" Kathy Bermudez: "Excellent material. Well organized..."
Werner van Wyk: "Thank you Peter, once again your lesson and course have given me so much knowledge and understanding" / Yvonne Rudolph "I really look forward to take everything i learned in action" / Josephine Mahlangu: "exactly what I needed to know, absolutely valuable and helpful for my personal growth"

- the project management videos are insanely repetitive - the design thinking part is better but i dont get why the videos are cut up to be around 3 minutes. sometimes its cut in the middle of the sentence. very annoying - the questions are terrible, sometimes there are 2 of the exact same answer, sometimes the question isnt even related to what that section was about

This introduction to "Design Thinking" clearly explains the steps and processes we need to follow, which are good to know before diving into the details.

The course covers in detailed a variety of topics related to design thinking, project management, and potentially innovation.

In general - the PM part is better than the Design thinking, brief, and important topics. but if the tutor said something wrong, makes sense to re-record the video, otherwise, what is the quality of the course? Video with showing progress is absolutely useless, I see the current progress in the course header. The design thinking part wasn't bad, but the monotone voice made me bored, and I didn't feel the passion of the lecturer. In addition, creating some artifacts live is a bit waste of time, the video is longer, and hard to think of good examples. Last but not least, if there's someone lecturing on the author's behalf I would like to know before signing up for the course.

This course s good but can be better with some editing. there is a lot of repeating and overlapping stuff with too much introductions and conclusions not adding much value. the 16 hour course can actually be condensed into 8 hrs or less.
By Vishwanath Tantri on 7/5/2022
Excellent introduction and expectations setting by an expert. This covers end to end Design Thinking. Training road map is very clear. Thanks

This is my first encounter with the concept of design thinking. Having listened to Peter's comprehensive introduction I think I am going to love it and will benefit a lot from the course. I have learned so much so far, in particular I enjoyed the lessons on empathy, journey maps and fishbone analysis. These tools will definitely assist me in improving my work.

The course is really interesting and I am gaining a lot. From my point of view the instructor knows exactly what she is talking about.
