Because of my very busy schedule, this course matches my needs very well. I like the way David Green teaches guitar through teaching music that is playable for my skill level. I am finding that using the skills he teaches I am even able to arrange other songs I would like to play. I am finding that my skill level is steadily advancing.

The course has a variety of lessons to choose from, also the teacher talks fluently and demonstrates techniques. I would say if you know your beginners and your stuck in a rut and can’t make progression I would recommend this course if you want to learn intermediate to advanced.

David Green is an excellent teacher. Classical guitar is a difficult genre to learn but he provides many lovely pieces of music and teaches how to play them in a carefully paced way so that you finish up playing a melody after only a shot period of time.

Some lessons repeat from the first course

Simple and to the point explanations and demonstration of technique. There is no wasted instruction time or rambling. Beautiful selections that can be played nicely even by a novice player with some practice. Great printable and downloadable music resources to supplement the instruction. Thanks so much for a great, practical course. I'm enjoying learning to play these songs while learning basic picking and fingering techniques at the same time.

Good progression in the early stages. Plenty of learning opportunities. Not fancy, but a world of great technique building with pleasant practice pieces. Fills an important gap for someone who is better than a true beginner but not quite a fully intermediate player. Highly recommended.

The pace of this course is perfect for me (almost a complete newbie in his mid-thirties with no prior experience and most certainly a tone-deaf). (UPDATE AFTER COMPLETION) It took me almost a year to complete this course (tried to play guitar ~40 minutes every day). I had to step back multiple times and consult other resources to learn how to read basic music notation (and how it applies to the classical guitar), how to warm up fingers before playing, how to strengthen fingers on the left hand and how to develop finger independence in order to play musical compositions provided in this course. What this course gave me is an essential repertoire which covers a lot of techniques that should be mastered in order to proceed further. Most of all, it gave me a motivation to continue the journey of studying a classical guitar. Thanks David.

Mr Green is the most excellent teacher! I took weekly 30min classical guitar classes at school with Mr Green back in 2004 when I was in Year 13. In just one year of studying, I progressed from a total beginner to giving recital performance at school's year end concert with a music of Grade 5/6 difficulty. I also had some chances to play in duets and ensembles. Regarding this video course, it is an ideal course for me to refresh my memory of playing the guitar. I particularly like Mr Green's compositions of small, beautiful guitar music that are included and demonstrated in this course. They are musically entertaining to "wow" your friends and yourself, yet very easy to play if you follow Mr Green's demo and instructions. 12 years after Mr Green's lessons, I am still enjoying playing the guitar (and the piano) at leisure time to give myself some peace of mind. David Green has broken down beautiful music into understandable bits for even the most novice of guitar players to start playing and building skills. I have been discouraged in the past when attempting to learn classical guitar from books and youtube, but by the end of each lecture I can play the song being practiced. The music pieces get progressively more difficult and you build skills as you go. Thanks David for opening up this music and making it available for me!

What an inspiring course! The content is packed with easy to follow, skill advancing information. I too had taken the first course and am eagerly working towards completing this second course. The course enables you to progress at your own pace and of course return to any lesson at any time to improve technique. I am quite astonished as to how quickly you feel that you can master the instrument whilst also learning the basics of reading music. I do hope there will be a third course in continuation.
