Docker & Kubernetes: The Complete Practical Guide (Udemy.com)

the accent was a little thick, being American, but I think I understand well enough now, set playback to .75 got it good enough for me. looking forward to learning the good stuff. Linux FTW baby I figured there'd be more talk about yml files and more theory type stuff. and what the commands actually do but i still find myself googling flags to understand what they actually do. It's not what you want to watch to get an understanding. it more just telling you what to do. glad i didn't pay full price. he likely understand the stuff, but he's not teaching it.

Bogdan is an amazing teacher. The Docker portiong of the course was truly eye-opening. By the time I was halfway through the course I had deployed a stack of microservices to the cloud using docker compose. I will absolutely take courses from Bogdan again. I was not as impressed with the Kubernetes part of the course. I am not sure if it is Kubernetes, or the constant mismatch between commands like sudo that don't work for me, the confusion about being told not to use docker as the driver bt to use hyperv and then using docker in the course, or just that it is a more advanced topic, but I will be seeking other training in Kubernetes becasue I don't feel I have any workebale knowledge. I am still not sure why I would use it.

The fact that we do not have subscribed for an nodejs or express course and that much of examples contains apps with those technologies and we need to find answers to the errors generated by the incompatibility of versions and so on ... is frustrating. The docker and kubernetes part contains a lot of "hands on" but not so much theory and explanations. The course is good, but less than the course of git and not so good like the course of Mushmad. Sorry.

Completing the Docker and Kubernetes course was an amazing experience! The Docker section was incredibly in-depth, providing a thorough understanding. However, it feels like the Kubernetes section just scratched the surface. While the course was overall excellent, it could benefit from some updates to stay current and perhaps a more comprehensive dive into Kubernetes.

The course provides a lot of information and generally well structured. I do appreciate that there are no big gaps and one can follow every step but the course has some unnecessary wondering on territories not strictly related to the topic. Hours went with topics like Python, NodeJS, etc. while the Docker specific knowledge of these parts were mere minutes. So all in all, the relevant part of the course is great, but it could be around 4-5 hours shorter by cutting out the irrelevant parts.

This is a masterclass! I thoroughly enjoyed the instructor's hands-on, clear, concise, and thorough approach to teaching and explanation of the concepts of docker and k8s. The class provided me with a good foundation for further exploration of the topics. I learned a lot, and I highly recommend this instructor and this course for someone who is looking to receive a firm understanding of these topics.

The course has a lot of content. The material is very clearly explained with a lot of examples. I was always struggling a bit with understanding networks but this course explains this very nicely with examples containers. So far the only attention point is that not all material is fully up to date and some commands do not fully work. Despite this minor issue I think the course content greatly compensates for this. I asked 4 questions in total and got 0 response from our teacher which in my view is rather disappointing. All in given the extensive high quality extensive content I give it is a well deserved 4 star.

This course is great!!! Everything still actual. What I liked the best that all lectures have structure. Bogdan has very rare gift of teaching. I will recommend this course to my friends. If Bogdan will add some themes about Docker Swarm this course will be briliant. Anyway it still great course. Данный курс очень интересный, в каждой лекции есть структура и продуманность. Английский у Богдана очень легко воспринимается и несложно переводить лекции. Кто знает английский на уровне А1-B1 можно смело проходить.

I enjoyed the journey. It's a great course like most of his other courses I have taken. The best thing about the author is his ability to explain in depth and covering the topics which aren't covered by other teachers on udemy for the same course. It also teaches linux for beginners, which is very helpful in understanding the internals of docker. It was comprehensive and amazing! My only request is to include at least a single lecture on swarm. Thanks a lot :)

Bogdan has an interesting yet very effective way of demonstrating things. I think his style is particularly helpful if you are already computer savvy - there is not a lot of fluff and he gets right to showing things effectively so you can get started. I did find his coverage of volumes very light. He sets one up for a mongo container but there is no explanation of where it lives, how or if it should be backed up, what are all the docker volumes I see when I list them, when is it safe to prune. That and a slight amount of redundancy in certain material were the only minor issues I came across. I did nothing with the kubernetes sections so I cannot speak to those. I wouldn't hesitate to get another one of his courses. Thanks Bogdan.
