Interesting description of how the world and schooling is seen through dyslexic students eye. I didn't enjoy the computer generated audio/visuals. A human would have been more ingagging.

I really enjoyed the course! I am a certified special education teacher but have never taken any courses specifically regarding Dyslexia. I learned so much from Libby! It is fast, to the point while covering a lot of important information. The quizzes along the way helped me to check my own understanding, while the short video clips made the course completely manageable. Truely a wonderful class!

I thought the course had some good insights but didn't connect well with the teaching style, I found the delivery quiet dry and struggled to hold my attention. I also found the organisation of the material odd and not easy to follow, lacked cohesivenss.

By Dianne Orr on 3/8/2018

I enjoyed the course and have found it helpful as what drew me to this course was my on journey with Dyslexia. I have been using some of the ideas already, eg. using different colours, check lists, prioritizing when reading. I hope to put more of these ideas into practice. My checklist total was 63, so I can use all the resources I can gain access to.

This course is brillant for anyone who wants to learn about Dyslexia. It is really thorough and informative with a instructor that provides clear and in depth explanations on a selection of topics that impact in the lives of those who are Dyslexic. I definitely recommend taking this course and will be taking more of these interesting courses.Thank you Libby, I have really enjoyed this course!

I have enjoyed the course and the ability to complete it on my various computers and tablets was awesome. I work in the field of Dyslexia ( DSA Students) and am mildly Dyslexic myself. I particularly like the links to the real world and the reminder that Dyslexic people can be placed at a disadvantage at work or education. Perhaps some You Tube clips on actual testing and assessing would have helped more. This certainly whets the appetite and I hope there are more courses that may specialise in some of the key areas. Thank you and what an excellent start of teh year for me.

Hi, This on-line course is highly recommended. I am working as a volunteering in a school and my special interest is to work with SEN, recently I completed my SEN diploma and wanted to do learn about dyslexia. Here I got the platform to learn more about dyslexia. Thanks a lot to tutor Libby.

Another great course by Libby Seery. Her courses are first class with an abundance of resources. This particular topic is very interesting and I'm looking forward to learning more about Dyslexia. I have just completed the course which has provided me with the knowledge to fully understand the challenges someone with dyslexia has to try and conquer. As always great course, brilliant tutor.

Quality of Information and presentation of information was generally good. There were a few spelling and grammatical errors. I particularly liked the different modalities of presentation - unlike some online courses where there's just an overload of text to read. This had a more personal touch. The accompanying resources were adequate and useful. I would have liked a case study presented or visual example of how dyslexia presents itself in the classroom. I felt the quizzes were far too easy with predictable, obvious answers. I would like to suggest that the Sections are re-titled to 'Modules' in line with course information and content. Overall, I learned a lot and would recommend this course to others. Well done Libby you are a great presenter. I look forward to studying with you again.

I really enjoyed this course. It is extremely informative, whether you or a loved one has dyslexia, or you are a provider of services to those who have dyslexia. The course author provides a thorough explanation of what dyslexia is and what it is not. She also offers A LOT of useful resources. I would definitely recommend this course, and consider it a very useful tool that I will refer to time and time again.
