Overall good experience, but it could be upgraded. Few sections which are not included like Choreography based SAGA implementation, DLQ implementation. It would have been better, if the explanation also contains implementation without AXON, as it may not be accepted by many and be asked for simple Queue concepts.

The course was interesting and easy to understand. Although it is older, it was kept sufficiently up to date so that it mostly works with current versions. I sorely missed the topic of testing. Since Axon is very annotation-driven, I would have been very interested in how to ensure the desired functionality through automated tests. It would also have been helpful to actually outsource Read and Write to different services so that it is clearer which functionality belongs where. Finally a course that is straightforward and to the point. Getting into details, but being detail oriented to make sure the student is brought through every step of the lesson. This course taught me almost everything I was hoping to learn from it. The only thing I wish was included was how to test these types of distributed systems. That being said, the Q&A and support documentation was more than enough to help me quickly work through any bugs I encountered due to older versions in the video and the core concepts taught still carried through very well. I'm super excited to get started building systems with the information I learned form this course!

One more Sergey's course is passed and I'm glad to say that this course is implemented on the high level as were courses about Spring Microservices and Junit. First of all I should notice, that there are not so much good learning courses about DDD and Axon in web. Sergey's course will be first one which I recommend in combination with Axon Academy courses. I liked the course structure - step by step Sergey shows basic conceptions and not only in theory but in real working code examples. Also I liked, that author gives aditional theory and best practices explanation in some cases. And Sergey is always ready to answer questions. This course will be useful for those who has already some experience with Java, Spring-Boot and Microservices. For persons who is not familiar with these points will be difficult to understand these conceptions. Thank you very much, Sergey.

Exactly what I needed. I have worked with Java for couple of years, but have never worked with Microservices, nor with Spring/Axon. This course provided me all the information I needed without having to do any assignments (I know how to code Java, so why do courses force me to spend more time than is needed). Thanks!

A very good course. Lots of pros. Good pace. Nothing of a downside I would say. Many topics were touched upon so that we have an idea about that stuff. Cons: The autogenerated subtitles are bad. Very bad. For the people reading the review: Many people have faced ForbiddenClassException because of serialization problem because of a particular library which axon relies upon. Some people have already written the answer in Q and A. Please check that out. Or you can have the same version of library as the trainer.

Very good and practical course on Event-driven Microservices and Spring cloud. The instructor is thorough in explaining the concepts and explains the code almost line by line. He explains the concepts very clearly. I'm glad I took this course really enjoyed. Kudos to the instructor - engaging

Absolutely superb course, excellent clear, calming voice and clarity of examples by the teacher. Will definitely look at his other courses. Having gone through the course, I now have an immediate appreciation of the Axon framework and how it can speed up building massive event driven architecture designs, in a coherent and safe manner.

Great course. Covers a lot of important concepts on the subject matter with intuitive examples. I have learned valuable lessons from this course. Lectures are clear and easy to understand. A couple of minor things that I wish could have been made better: i) For complex patterns, an architectural / flow diagram could be shown (more) frequently ii) A lot of lectures felt too short to such an extent that it felt like unnecessary interruptions; specially when watching on mobile, loading of a new lecture causes noticeable pause every time iii) Starting of discovery server, services, API gateway etc would have been sufficient to show once or twice initially and then skipped during the rest of the course. I felt it was somewhat unnecessary to demonstrate that every time. Overall, I would highly recommend this course. Thanks Sergey!

A good course to learn the basics (although a bit more theory about each topic would be welcomed). The major flaw I noticed is that assignment solutions (like OrdersService) do not correspond exactly with the code shown in the lessons following. Even when these differences are not significant (redundancies, wrong access modifiers, etc.), their presence can confuse the student sometimes and they make the course content look worse than it really is.
