Hi, I'm Jose! I love helping students learn to code and master software development. I've been teaching online for over 10 years, and I founded Teclado to bring software development to everyone—my objective is for you to truly understand everything that goes on behind the scenes.
Coding is extremely rewarding. As you learn, things start to click and make sense. You can join the dots of all the things that weren't quite clear before. I'm here to make that journey quick and painless!
I can help you with Python and JavaScript issues, particularly in web and backend development. I'm experienced with programming libraries and frameworks like Flask, Django, FastAPI, React, React Native, and AngularJS. I've worked extensively with UNIX systems, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and advanced system architecture design.

This is a high level refresher for me and I am a hobbyist. To me I would think someone who codes or has coded 40 hours per week would find this very rudimentary. But for me and my level this is a real incentive to learning Django by starting with HTML, CSS, SCSS, Python and Django. I am almost certain I have been redundant with the writing by me of Python and Django, but I am here to learn.

I finished 100% of this course. The teacher is very talent. You will learn ALOT in this course, not just Django (TAILWIND ETC), I will say this is not a beginner python course. And yes he does go over some python concepts...but if you are new to python. I would highly not recommend this course as it's not a beginner course. If you are intermediate to advanced in python you will be able to do this course. It was a good choice for me after a 6 month python bootcamp. Pushed my knowledge to the next level.

Definitely more intermediate. It covers a lot but explanations are quick and short. I feel as if some areas need more explanations and examples. Another problem is that sometimes certain things in the video end up being different when you try it because programs have been updated. Lastly, when you get stuck. There's no answers or questions from other people in later parts of the course. I had no help with asking a question about tailwind and had to figure it out myself.

Up to now (currently near the end of section 12) the course has been a great pleasure to follow. Each chapter breaks down concepts into manageable steps with clear, hands-on examples that have kept me engaged. It hits the sweet spot of providing enough depth without becoming overwhelming, so I always feel like I’m making tangible progress. The ratio of theory to practice is spot on, allowing me to solidify my understanding by doing, rather than just reading. Excellent so for :)

The Python and Django course is excellent! The teacher has deep knowledge of both Python and Django, explaining concepts clearly and effectively. However, it's not easy for beginners. I followed his approach to build two different projects using different methods, and it really improved my understanding. Thanks to this course, my app is now live: My Django App. Even though he is young, he has a natural gift for teaching and keeps getting better. The course is well-structured and absolutely worth it! Highly recommended. https://djangotailwind-production-88da.up.railway.app/

I'm an experienced Django developer and I was looking for a HTMX course. Even though my goal was just to learn HTMX and some Tailwind, I am also enjoying some of the other content in the course, like the refresher on CSRF tokens and semantic HTML. Thanks Jose for creating such high-quality material and presenting so well! I'm looking forward to finish this course and check what else you have created.

This course has so far lived up to expectations and generally supplied what is listed in the project description and requirements. I really like the instructors delivery and pace. However the amount of explanation in some sections is very thorough, while in other sections it feels more like "Here, do this", without much explanation why. This course also would not serve well as a beginner course though the requirements state no Django experience is necessary. It seems to address the knowledge required for the capstone project well enough, but could be better structured if intended to serve as an introduction course. More focus on the Django architecture and best practices would be appreciated, rather than focusing on things like docker, tailwind, poetry etc, which are not exactly critical to learning Django full stack development. Still I learned some new things and I think users new to django will get some benefit, but not a strong foundation.

Jose Salvatierra, I want to personally thank you. I had bought previous courses in Django and teachers weren't teachers. THANK YOU for explaining EVERYTHING and not assuming we know anything. You're a coder but you also have talent as a pedagogue and that's not given to everyone. I enjoy for the first time using Django because of you. The progress in the course was EXACTLY what I was looking for. So far I couldn't be happier. Thanks! I've also struggled with Docker and Railway so don't hesitate to put content about those (I not there yet but SUPER happy you included them). Looking forward to keep learning from you! Cheers

I found this course to be very good. The course covers a lot of subjects, but I found it to be very well organized and it kept a nice pace. Jose explains everything along the way and why things are important. Many of Djangos features are covered in this course, somthing I found very useful for future projects. Also most of the videos are quite short and contains only specific elements so that it is easy to use as a reference later on when if you look for some specific to implement in your project. Jose is a great teacher and this course gets a thumb up.
