Course Description
What is Microsoft Visual C#?
C# (pronounced "C sharp") is a programming language that is designed for building a variety of applications that run on the .NET Framework. C# is simple, powerful, type-safe, and object-oriented. The many innovations in C# enable rapid application development while retaining the expressiveness and elegance of C-style languages.
What is this course all about?
This course is designed for people with NO prior programming experience. You will learn how to write computer programs using Microsoft Visual C#. The topics in this course are handpicked to build a strong foundation for all new programmers.
What makes this course better than the others?
This course is better than others due to the design of the lectures. Complex topics are explained in a way that anyone can understand. The instructor began as a self-taught programmer, and knows where new programmers make mistakes and get confused. All the topics in this course have the instructor’s personal tips and tricks that helped him to succeed.
Where should I go after I complete this course?
This course provides a foundation that allows you to continue your programming education in almost any area. You can stick with desktop development and learn how to build rich and immersive applications using technologies like WPF. You can enter the world of mobile development to build Android, iOS, and Windows applications using Xamarin with C#. If game development is your area of interest, you can build both desktop and mobile games using Unity with C#. If you are tired of software development, web development is also an option using ASP.NET.
Can I take the experience from this course to learn new programming languages?
Yes you can! C# is a "C" based programming language. All programming languages in the same family are extremely similar and easy to learn after learning C#. Some examples of "C" based languages are:
- C
- C++
- Java
- Objective-C
- Perl
- PHP
- Python

I think this C# course is highly underrated. The content is easy to follow and gave me the confidence to learn C#. The array module, however, was quite hard to understand. Classes seemed easy at first, but the practical application in the solution section was very difficult. Overall, I would definitely suggest this course to my friends.

This is by far the best course that I have found for my self-learning journey on C#. Most courses either start at the level that practically teaches how to use a keyboard or run through the info so fast and without explanation that I find myself just copying code I see on the screen without really understanding it. This series breaks things down so well and provides enough examples during and after each section that I can pause the video and try to figure out for myself that for the first time I feel like I'm actually grasping concepts I was struggling with previously. Jesse, if you read this, you're a godsend.

Very good course, very well done. Very detailed also. I could not see in the beginning that this would be necessary, but it actually was. The speaker was sometimes a litte fast and hard to understand for me, because i am not a native speaker of american english. But in the end it did not matter too much.

This course offers sufficient and concise knowledge that helps to contribute on building my foundation in understanding C# programming. The teacher's delivery of the lessons was well done, comprehensible, and professional. I highly recommend this course and I hope Sir Jesse will teach and provide the advance C# course in the future. Thank you for this free C# course.

The course is very structured and very clearly explained. Hope you find the time to take an extended course What I like the most are the questions, there is enough to cover the whole chapter and the tasks are structured so that you can also solve them if you understand the topic and the chapter. The code is different, but so far everything worked. Thanks for the great course

This course have helped me alot to tie up some loose ends and I have learned many new things that I didn't knew about before taking this course. There were a few "ups'es" here and there, but they did just made it a bit fun that professionals also makes errors and made me laugh.

This is a pretty comprehensive course; especially for someone who is not a full-stack developer but needs to do a fair bit of coding/ has a fair bit interaction with developer community. The concepts are explained lucidly and with lot of examples and especially the exercises are graded and reasonably challenging for someone learning anew. There are two areas where the course could use additional material. First one is linking the contents and concepts discussed in the course to the (so called) pillars of OOP and the second, is a glide-slope for the way forward (i.e. an intro to windows desktop/app store/web utility).

For someone new to programming, the course is fine till the section on Classes. Doesn't explain certain concepts well & why it was handled in that way. The Classes section assumes that a new student should already have certain knowledge.

Fantastic course, great for absolute beginners like me. The teaching was spot on, always going over things several times and re-explaining further into the sections just to recap on anything you may have forgotten. There is a lot of information to take in, making it incredibly great value for money. Pro tip: Stop/Start the video and write everything you learn down in a way you'll understand, so you can go back and remind yourself later (no doubt there will be things you'll forget!). I'm eagerly anticipating the advanced course now! Thanks for creating this!

The clearest videos about learn programming I have found on the Internet. Also the pronunciation of the teacher is clear, if you are a person with english as a second languaje don't worry about the pronunciation, is the clearest i have ever listen. I'm 100% sure I will be buying the advance C# course from this teacher. 10/10
