I finished mechanical engineering, but decided to pursue computers due to better job opportunities. But the transition was anything but smooth. It took me a long time just to get a hang of object oriented programming. I took the help of many instructors, but to no avail. I finally figured it out using innumerable boring books, and I wished they had taught me differently, saving me all that time and frustration. I just thought I will save you some time! Hope you like it!
Most people find it difficult to listen in class or to lectures. This is not the fault of the student. TV and internet has made us tune out of listening to anything that does not visually stimulate and engage us.
These step by step video tutorial is to fill that void. It is not only effective but is also time saving.
Concepts are explained in a refreshingly simple manner. You will love the videos. I guarantee it.

I have been around couple of C# Courses, across the various platforms. But I found it very informative and most important, tutor is giving project level example on top of basic example - such as MS Excel and Word examples for interface. I am thinking, why I have not enrolled earlier, instead of wondering around others. Special Request To Patrick: I have kept one star out of 5 for the real time project course, I hope Patrick will pick up my request soon.

The course is called C# in 6hours, however the total runtime is around 7.5-8h, without pausing to take notes. Otherwise, it was pretty good. Wouldn't say it's for complete beginners - more like for semi-what experienced people to switch to C#.

This course is seems to focus on giving you as much detail in a short amount of time, if you are looking for something short, sharp and shiny this is it. The structure is easily marked for future use as a reference and the videos are bite sized and straight to the point. Delicious!

This course fits exactly my needs. I'd taken C# introductory courses a couple of times, but could not get to the ends of the courses to pick up all the essentials. When I was scanning through the list of C# courses offered by Udemy, the title of this course caught my eyes. I needed a course that can introduce to me all the key concepts, but without the usual lengthy duration, and this course does live up to its title. While the course duration may be short, the presentation is not rushed or sketchy. In short, the instructor has done an amazing job in striking a balance and avoiding the weeds. Concepts are laid out in a natural, and logical manner. Each concept is well defined and explained clearly using some simple, yet meaningful examples. The instructor also demonstrates some very good presentation skills. No details or steps in each example will be skipped, and the three-step approach is followed: say what you will say, say what you want to say, and say what you have said. Even in such a short course, a few nice summaries and reviews have been sprinkled onto the sections. If one can successfully sale a proposal in an hour, that is a good job, but if someone can do the same in 5 minutes, that is awesome, and that is what the instructor of this course is. Now I feel I'm ready to start taking on some more challenging and real-life C# examples encountered at work. Thanks very much, Patrick, for putting together such a great course and sharing your insights on C#.

I like the course. It told me some simple stuff that I needed to be reminded of and it told me some new stuff that I did not know. I think it would be better if he slowed down so you can do all the exercises with him, but it would take way more than 7 hours. I did all the examples, and it took weeks.

I already started with some basic knowledge, so for me the course started off really simple, and the first few lessons I ran at double speed. But the further it got, the more interesting it became. And at the end I had been introduced to several valuable concepts that I will certainly use in my future projects. Well worth the time I spent on it!

This teacher is really good. I am an 'old cookie' programmer, know many languages, speak also 4, but the way he is explaining I wish I learned this before I got an old fart. So, yes, excellent and YES, I will recommend this!!

This is a great course covering both basic and more advanced features in C# is a very efficient way - perfect if you have a background in another programming language; for me C++ and python. In particular I appreciated the Unit Testing, Reflection & Attributes, and Dependency Injection sections, as I hadn't used this concepts in the other languages. The LINQ section could be improved with showing LINQ queries to database collections, but I understand if database connections and Db queries are beyond the scope of this course.

This instructor is an excellent instructor. The problem is that he has just a few courses on Udemy. I was also expecting advanced topics like async and threading but they are missing in this course. Please, if you can add those topics and make the LINQ topic more detailed, that will make this course more appreciated.

Working through it still, but so far I have enjoyed it. What I will say is that this is a great introduction to syntax and concepts used for C# for people who already know the basics of programming from another language, such as myself. If you are totally new to programming, you will want a much more in-depth set of courses that deeply explain the base concepts. The one other thing is if you are coming from a language like Python that isn't as heavy on object oriented programming (OOP) this is a great course for going more in-depth to those important concepts that you will need to know to properly utilize C#. All in all, its a great crash course. I probably would be confused watching it as a totally new programmer because of it's quick pace, but if you are generally familiar, it does what it promises to do quickly and its great for what I was looking for.
