I finished mechanical engineering, but decided to pursue computers due to better job opportunities. But the transition was anything but smooth. It took me a long time just to get a hang of object oriented programming. I took the help of many instructors, but to no avail. I finally figured it out using innumerable boring books, and I wished they had taught me differently, saving me all that time and frustration. I just thought I will save you some time! Hope you like it!
Most people find it difficult to listen in class or to lectures. This is not the fault of the student. TV and internet has made us tune out of listening to anything that does not visually stimulate and engage us.
These step by step video tutorial is to fill that void. It is not only effective but is also time saving.
Concepts are explained in a refreshingly simple manner. You will love the videos. I guarantee it.

The first half of the course was good and I learnt a lot. The second half appeared to have been put together with less thought and appears to contain a few errors. More explanation as to the differences between the two approaches would have been useful, it wasn't always clear why we did things one way in the first half and another way in the second. I had a hard time with this course, and didn't feel it was up to Patrick's normal standards.

Amazing! Patrick knows his stuff and he delivers exceptionally well. It's hard to find decent .net5 and .net6 videos about WebAPI, but WebAPI is so crucial. He's quick, clear, straightforward and he wastes no time at all!

Trying to learn "Web API" to be used by both mobile device application and office "desktop" application. Need to learn how BOTH apps can use the same database from a Web API.

Teaches us quickly to create web APIs using .Net Core 5.0, also the older version course material is present. Course material is short and concise.Provided code also works without issues.

I like this course. I bought a book on this topic but it was very hard to follow. This step by step method, with examples makes it much easier to understand.

The instructor isn't good about answering student's questions. Several are unanswered, including one asking where the resource files are for ASP.Net Core, which the first lecture states is available for download. Some questions have poor answers, such as one asking about the location of a different video referenced in the lectures and the instructor simply says to go to his site - no mention of where in the site it was. A student asked about an error they encountered trying to follow the steps and the instructor said that the course was too advanced for them, that it was for people who knew C# very well. The course overview says things like "Skill level: All Levels", "Basic C# knowledge" and "Who this course is for: Beginner C# students interested to learn to create web applications using Web API 2.2" I haven't gotten that far in the course yet so I may adjust the rating depending on how good or bad the lectures themselves are.
