For a beginners course it lacks a bit of context but instead, he just go straight to one place to another. Many times he simply select options without explaining what they are, what they mean, for ex, what's the difference between Source and Source/Medium? Also, he didn't prepare the class. In some exercises he decides to create this or that out of the blue and sometimes doens't seem sure about what's doing, where to go. I felt like if it were a co-worker showing me how to use GA, and in this case the explanation would be good. But, for a paid course it lacks more structured/prepared exercises. Around 90% he showed I already knew just by playing around with GA and reading GA docs. I expected this course would help me to understand more of the concepts: what are dimensions, what they're used for, explain some of them, etc.

Very good course for introduce Google Analytics for beginners. However I think that the jargon/vocabulary used in Google Analytics is quite complicated and a clear definition of words like the different traffic, conversion, goals, event, ... will be better for beginners understand faster what we are talking about. There are tons of different graphics and information in GA and this course try to make is more clear. However I am still confuse with what is secondary dimension, metrics, ... The tone of the course is great, not too fast. The subtitles have a lot of errors and can be improved.

Lots of great information for someone getting started with analytics. I would advise at least getting it setup on your own site first, then accessing your own account to follow along as he teaches! Only think keeping it from being a 5-star class is that it's dated 2014 instead of being recent. Still useful though!

After going through the course, I realize how I had only scratched the surface of what Google Analytics could do. This course was thorough, well paced, and the explanations gave all of the functions relevance. I learned more, faster than I have trying to get my arms around GA on my own. I would recommend that anyone needing to track their web performance start with this course.

Corey has built a very good beginners course that details almost every element of GA and how it can be used to help you evaluate your website. Each lecture is broken down into ~7 min videos (which are crystal clear in 720p) and shows a live GA account with range of data. The use of certain terms within GA is also explained as well as how the admin site of GA is important - something covered over the first few lectures. There is certainly room for improvements in places: - Google has tweaked the GA UI slightly so the course could be updated reflect this. - The course is very e-commerce centric, some brochure/information site analysis and how the GA tools are used with them would be useful for beginners. Overall a very good course and has certainly helped me exploit GA features I've not had the confidence to do before.

All the 5 star reviews built up my expectations, it's not a 5 star course. One example: If you're going to have a paid course on this topic, I don't believe it's too much to have incorporated in the 'canned' demo actual Google Adwords or Google Adsense illustrations, with the data, etc. Real world illustrations would be more effective to theoretic conversation. That's the kind of that that would make it 5 stars that's not there. 5 stars means there's no room for improvement - not the case.

Much of the info is somewhat helpful. The approach is very organized - the instructor follows along with the order of the top and side navs and tackles admin set-up before discussing reports. Once you get into the course, most of the overviews and explanations are ok if not very in depth. They're good for understanding basics of what certain terms are and what's being shown in most reports. This course is definitely more of an overview of what Google Analytics is than a class on how to strategically leverage Google Analytics to generate actionable management insights. The things I didn't like: 1. Video quality is a bit fuzzy when played on full screen. I played around with the dimensions of my screen and nothing improved the clarity. The video is legible but not crisp. 2. Sometimes there's a description of a report but no elaboration on how to leverage it or why it's important or what insights you might gain from the info. I'd hoped for a little more. 3. The website used as the example didn't have several of the features enabled (e.g., site search, AdSense) so the walkthroughs were pointless (i.e., there was no data to work with). It would have made much more sense to choose a site with all the features you're discussing in the video enabled so that all the reports have content to show. 4. There's an extreme bias towards e-commerce sites. If you don't add any kind of valuation for visits to your site or conversion goals, you don't get a lot out of significant portions of the topics discussed in the course. Often times, informational sites don't have values/conversion goals like that. 5. The course is based on Google Analyics from Q1 or Q2 2014 I think. At any rate, it's out of sync with current GA. The left nav is different and deviates from what's covered in the course. Sometimes I couldn't tell how the GA in the videos correlates to what I see when I log into my GA account. Some of the reports covered in the course may have been removed from current GA.

I think the course is great for starters, providing an overview of GA and its capabilities which is all you need. Playing and manipulating data is something that will be different for each business. That's something everyone will have to learn on their own. So to be fair, this course does exactly what it's supposed to do: familairzie the students on to set up your dashboard and make sense out of the data in different presentation or display modes.

Loved this course!! Corey did a great job not only covering all the main sections and functionality of Google Analytics but also in keeping it all easy to understand. I've watched many videos on Google Analytics before and have gotten lost so easily, but this one was excellent and kept my ADD attention very well. Great course, thanks Corey. Highly recommend this!

I have been the recipient of analytics reports in some of my previous projects, but I wanted to dig deeper. Corey's overview was perfect. He covered all of the major reports - how to interpret them, and how to configure them. The course is well-paced and very thorough. The real test is in the practice, but thanks to this course, I feel that I'm ready for a deeper dive.

This course has everything a beginner needs. Clear, concise, and too the point. Would love to see an intermediate or advanced course from Corey.

A LOT of content to absorb in a relatively short period of time. Everything seemed to show a similar level of intrigue from the instructor. As a beginner, I'm still confused as to what is most important and where I should focus to drive clicks.
