Course Description
If you are like so many of us amazed by a beautifully designed poster or magazine cover, buying a chocolate just because of its cool packaging, if you love design in print form, then you’ve come to the right place.
Print design focuses on producing designs printed onto tangible surfaces and products, and we can say that it is the oldest, classic field of Graphic Design, as old as the profession itself.
With this rich history we have a long way to look back, and even more to look forward to as new trends arise and more and more industries modernize their look and appeal, and professional printing and packaging services become more accessible to small brands.
Because of this, learning the key terms, best practices and industry standards of printing is very important for any professional designer.

An excellent course - even after 35 years of professional experience I really enjoyed this course from beginning to end. Although the course is taught in English, Martin Perhiniak explains everything in a very clear, understandable and enjoyable way - even for someone whose first language is not English. What I particularly appreciated were the many practical examples, comparisons and detailed explanations. The course does not simply present rules of graphic and print design; Martin demonstrates why certain design decisions work, how they affect the result and what can be improved. As a result, the lessons are both educational and truly entertaining. I have been working professionally in graphic design, typography and print-related fields for almost 35 years. To be honest, it's been more theoretical over the years, and the practical aspect has taken a back seat, which is what brought me to this course. But for me, this course was therefore not about learning everything from scratch. It was an opportunity to refresh established knowledge, reconsider familiar principles and look at some aspects again from a contemporary perspective. And that worked wonderfully. Martin is an great instructor, and his calm, friendly and very understandable English made the course particularly pleasant to follow. As a German who has spent many years working with the UK, I almost felt at home with the language and presentation. ;-) The structure, examples, explanations and presentation all came together perfectly. There was not really something I missed. Thank you, Martin, for helping me refresh and polish my knowledge after almost 35 years of professional work. I really enjoyed the course, and I highly recommend it.

so far I love all this - so much value added to my book of knowledge, some information I already was aware of - some is new information. The explanations with examples on wrong and right ways allow a better grasp on concepts and what to look for when proofreading.

This is the best explainer video, explaining in detail and providing direct case studies, but students are only asked to watch it without practicing it. Maybe that will be one of my suggestions.

the course is very informative and well executed. I found Adobe Illustrator very challenging and i dread having any project using it, now am more confident and even my Instructor is impressed with my new found knowledge and Enthusiasm.

Very clear and knowledgeable instructor who teaches not only the technicals, but the fundamental theories of design.
