Hive to ADVANCE Hive (Real time usage) :Hadoop querying tool (Udemy.com)

Excellent and very detailed course on Hive. Covering a lot of scenarios which are used in actual production env. Only feedback I have is that there are just so many of random data and random tables like table1, table 16 is used which could have converted into one or two proper dataset and create proper table names like employee, orders products etc. Nevertheless the course is still awesome and trainer talks straight to the point without wasting time and topics are of real production use.

The course curriculum is very apt, wide, and to the point. - 5 stars for that The instructor has tried to cover as many topics as he could - 5 stars to that The recording is quite unstable in a few lectures - 4 stars Few things are supposedly technical jargon - so it is not for all levels until explained - 3.5 stars Steps for the setup for self-practice - 3 stars

I felt like some portion about 10% (which is not less) is taken for granted by the teacher that a learner must know but i, like many others, was new to hadoop and hive and didn't have any prior knowledge. My suggestion is to increase the length of the videos but explain everything that is being spoken in the video. This would be beneficial for both the course ratings and learners.Thanks.

In general, it was what I expected. Very good course although improvable in some things. There are quite well explained sections, showing in detail each step with presentations and practices. However, there are a few very improvable sections, in which I have had to look for information outside the course in order to understand them correctly. I rate it with a 4/5 for those ups and downs at the level of the explanations of the sections.

This was an excellent course; concise, detailed, great explanation of concepts, and very complete. The instructor gives a complete and through grounding in all the basics. If you pay attention, you will learn everything needed to contribute to a big data team and become an expert Hive developer after practicing and honing the skills imparted in this course.

I had clearly no experience in Hive when I took this course. But now I have gotten a good hands-on experience from the course and also the course seems to be very good when it comes it including the complete or all round details for Hive and Hadoop instead of just showing the basic commands which you will get in every documentation or tutorials. So I would suggest this course to everyone or anyone who wants to have a good all-round experience in Hive and Hadoop.

Course is very good. It covers all the topics with examples. No doubt this course is really very good but still I would like to make 2 suggestions to trainer: 1. Merge all the resources to a single zip and add all topics and files to it what is covered in sections. 2. Please don't indirectly force someone to buy your other MapRed course. It's completely ok to suggest other course but its better to add examples (like in UDX you tried to hide it). Maybe explanation is beyond scope but atleast you could have added that working example.

Looking for a hive course for a long time then found this one. Content is good and this course has cleared many concepts. Instructor's teaching style is very good and he has decent knowledge of the topic. In case of any query the instructor responds very quickly and always give satisfying answer. Good course by J Garg. Very much Informative.I really feel myself confident on hive now.I am impressed by the course's inclusions. The course provides a boilerplate of hive queries that is used in Realtime projects. One can use this boilerplate and tweak the queries according to the needs. The way of teaching and accent is also very simple. Would love to take his other courses also in future.

This is more than a 5 star course. The way this course is structured, one will never find himself lost in the topics. Garg is an instructor with the real-world experience. He is concise and always to the point. If you got any doubts (which has very little probability), then you can easily reach him in Q&A and can get your doubts clear. You will never feel it like a computer-based training rather you will feel it like a 'live class'. Thumbs Up!
