How to Dominate Freelancing on Upwork (Udemy.com)

A very good course that gets into the nitty gritty details of working as a freelancer. The steps actually resonated with me, I haven't started freelance yet, I wanted to watch this video before I start, and I know that when I follow these steps I'll win, I'll be back with some feedback about how the freelancing worked out for me.

(PRO): There were a couple of good bites of wisdom in here, (CON): but overall the course was under-cooked. (PRO): I got the value for my money, (CON): but not for the time I invested - even though this was a relatively short course.

Very good course for starting out as an online freelancer. I have worked as a IT consultant for the past 10 years and the "Big secret" of this course also is a key factor in the consultant business.

As I was going through the course, I was surprised how fast I was breezing though it. I finished it withing in a day. But when I finished I realized this course didn't need to be any longer because Patrick really did well in covering the basics and then some. I picked up some really good nuggets. I would definitely take another course instructed by him.

This course provided me with the confidence I need to get my freelance business up and running. It is great to see what factors and techniques and help you to stand out to possible clients. The coverage of what really is important among all of the options is also very informative. I feel like I know all I need to be successful as a freelancer.

Great course. It was simple and straight to point. Great for those who have never heard of online freelancing, especially in Upwork, and who want to dive into it. Through the course, I learned various techniques and validated some ideas that I already have. Lots of powerful "secrets" in this course. Wish I had found this course 5 years ago when I initially put my profile on freelancer sites. I would have had lots more confidence applying for online projects. If you are serious about getting worthwhile freelancer jobs on sites like Upwork then you MUST take this course. You will have to work and compete but it will be worth your time and effort. The only reason why I give this course 4.5 stars is that, as far as I can tell, the Instructor offers no course notes or downloadable examples. All the better to keep the "secrets" for those of us who actually take time to study the lesson plan, no doubt.

Liked it but a bit basic on the information and not very motivating/engaging in comparison to other courses I've taken on the same subject.

Great how to for using Upworks. I am new to picking up Freelance gigs online so this was very helpful. The main reason I took this course was to learn how to write a good proposal, but there was far more helpful information there. I felt a couple parts of the course were brisk and was surprised that some of the examples were not offered as resources. Not really a big deal, I just typed it out but overall great information. Totally worth the price.
