Pro Soldering Secrets: How to Perfectly Solder Electronics (Udemy.com)

Rather slow and repetitive. I was hoping to find out more about different solder types eg lead-free. I also wanted to hear about the benefits and applications of different soldering iron tips and, perhaps about ideal shape, ie angle, and size of a pointed tip. You talked about the adverse effect of wind on a gas soldering iron but what abou the need fro proper ventilation with any soldering iron.

The course was fine. Could have been better if more actual soldering work would have been done. Also it didn't introduced about types of soldering like THT & SMD soldering and different types of soldering. The content was too shallow & basic & it lacked depth.

The course was overall good, but proper captions would have been really helpful in understanding the instructor (the instructor has a stronger accent so sometimes it was hard to understand). The theoretical part was very general and did not go in depth too much, and it would have been good to see more practical examples (SMT vs. THT soldering, soldering iron vs. hot-air gun). Without these things a course that is called "How to Solder Electronic Components Like A Professional" feels incomplete. Otherwise I liked the course and for someone who is a complete beginner it is very good to understand the basics and get a quick-guide to start soldering.

Este curso me pareció bueno para comprender y realizar soldaduras de excelente calidad. Me hubiese gustado ver más videos de práctica sobre soldaduras, como se realiza malas soldaduras y como corregirlas. También ver videos sobre soldaduras con los accesorios vistos en el curso.

The content was good--would have liked more videos of common problems and more videos showing what it looks like to solder incorrectly (e.g. I held the soldering iron to the pin too long, etc.) Especially since these courses cost money. These topics were discussed, but videos would have helped me understand what it would have looked like in action when someone actually does perform the tasks incorrectly so I can catch myself better.

This course is perfect for a person who has never seen/used or been involved with a soldering iron. So for that i would recommend this. If like myself a person has has a small amount of interaction with soldering and a soldering iron, this course is too literal on how/what to do with your soldering iron/station and solder.

The instructor responded very quickly to suggestions to improve the course and in fact included them in an upgrade to the lesson within days of the suggestion. The one item that I hope they consider adding is the soldering of surface mount devices which I think would make this an even better course.

This course title is misleading. There is no explanation of techniques for electronics soldering. It should be called "Basic soldering". This course suits people with no prior knowledge or experience in soldering. Has a lot of room for improvement.

Some basic stuff about soldering with an example of soldering a wire to an XLR connector. Problem is that it only uses powerpoint presentation to get the message across and not actual video footage when soldering (so you got to imagine everything). Accent is a bit weird but I can understand him. What was annoying is that at the end of each lesson it tells you what to expect from the lesson which comes next. Seems redundant and wastes time.
