Master Photorealistic 3D Rendering with 3ds Max + V-Ray (Udemy.com)

This course was a great match for me. I had already been using 3ds Max before , so I wasn't a complete beginner. Even so, the course helped me understand the software much better and filled in many gaps in my knowledge. I learned several new tools, techniques, and workflows that I hadn't used before, and they have already improved the way I work. The lecturers explained everything clearly and made even more advanced topics easy to follow. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the course and would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve their 3ds Max skills, whether they're just starting out or already have some experience.

Lo dire en Español e Ingles: I'll say it in Spanish and English. No voy a negar que el maestro tiene conocimiento del programa, pero en algunos momentos siento que debio profundizar en ellos, un ejemplo sería en la sección de "Render" I won't deny that the teacher knows the program, but at times I feel he should have gone into more detail; an example would be in the "Render" section. El explico de una manera general lo que son las opciones pero me hubiera gustado saber el porque esta haciendo esos cambios y porque esas opciones y al final lo mando todo ala "nube" y no se si el resultado sería el mismo que haberlo hecho local. He explained the options in a general way, but I would have liked to know why he's making those changes and why those options. In the end, he sent everything to the "cloud," and I don't know if the result would be the same as doing it locally. Siento que muchas clases se pudieron haber hecho más fáciles y brincar directo al punto, pero dentro de esas clases saqué algunos "Tips" que no sabía de cómo hacer ciertas cosas que alimentaron más mis conocimientos, eso fue genial. I feel that many classes could have been made easier and jumped straight to the point, but within those classes, I picked up some "tips" that I didn't know about how to do certain things that further enriched my knowledge, that was great. Y ya para acabar en el Trailer se habló de animación de cámara y en el curso no se vio nada de eso, una de las razones por las que compré el curso fue justamente por eso, por la animación, pero qué mal que se hable de eso pero no se vio nada. Tengo conocimiento básico de animación de cámaras pero pensé que aquí vería curvas de animación y mejores manerás de grabar And finally, the trailer mentioned camera animation, but the course didn't cover any of that. One of the reasons I bought the course was precisely for that, for the animation, so it's a shame that it was mentioned but not shown. I have a basic understanding of camera animation, but I thought I would learn about animation curves and better ways to record here. En términos generales es bueno el curso, pero pensé que sería algo mejor, como repito no dudo de los conocimientos del maestro, él es muy bueno en eso, se nota que domina el programa, pero queda un poco a desear con su método de explicación. Overall, the course is good, but I thought it would be better. As I said, I don't doubt the teacher's knowledge; he's very good at it, and it's clear he has a firm grasp of the program, but his teaching method leaves something to be desired.

straight to the point! very informative/ understanding the concept behind the action, the why we are doing it this way...I'm really impressed with the level of proficiency of this course and it's content covering every aspect of V-ray. I've always thought V-ray was so complicated and out of my reach, it clearly isn't the case anymore, the course is well structured and makes it a lot easier to learn V-ray.

Easy to follow, clear and concise. Has improved my rendering skills, and understanding of the process, significantly. So many tips and tools to help you to get to where you hoped you could be. An invaluable resource that I revisit often as I work through projects, strengthening and developing my knowledge. Now onto the next Jake Denham course!

Great tutorial!! I've gone from never using 3Ds max and a complete beginner to becoming very confident in creating my own visuals and renders. The way Jake has put together this course is straight to the point which I find is the best way for me to learn. Other tutorials I've used previously have too much information on topics that don't need to be. Dragging out the course and making them more of a chore to finish, which in turn stunts the whole learning process. When ever I had an issue or a question on a subject, Jake was quick to respond and very helpful! I would definitely recommend this course if your looking to learn 3Ds max! I've also signed up for other courses by Jake and can say that these are just as well put together!

I have been a CGI Artist for the past nine years. I studied at uni got a great experience went out into the world and got a job in the industry. now I will say I am fairly skilled with interiors but not as skilled as I would like to be. after finding this course I was really happy bit nervous at first, I thought the training might not be what I thought. My god was I wrong Jake is truly a master at this, I say this as Jake is very skilled in CGI. probably one of the best artist I have ever come across everything I thought I knew in 3ds max Jake has now changed that and showed me better ways of tackling an interior. the best part about this course is Jake is always updating it with new sections which I can't wait to join and try it myself. If anyone is having thoughts about investing into this course do not even think just do it as its truly is a masterclass. As I said I have nine year experience but Jake has now shown me the best ways to do things and I am not ashamed to ambit that as a CGI artist I have even invested into his other course as I am so eager to learn more. anyway I am very happy thank you so much Jake!! P.S I have seen a lot of the reviews saying Jake is not clear in speaking, I can confirm this is not the case he speaks very clearly and also had me laughing at certain points. (:

Jake is a professional and has done a really good job to share his knowledge and experience. The advantages of the course are that it is easy to follow and the tutor has a soft voice with easily understandable accent. What is most important is that he is always there to answer any questions. He shares many useful tips and tricks (scripts, wesites, vray presets, plugins etc) and many advanced techniques. One will learn how to model the walls, opening for doors and windows but you need to download or buy the rest (furniture, curtains etc). I would prefer to have known this in advance (that some of the models are not for free) nor that I would not be creating them from scratch. The doownsides of the course is that it can feel a bit intimidating for a beginner since the complexity goes up rapidly and in my opinion one should watch it twice. Also, it would be helpful to explain more as to why he is selecting some options when is creating or modificating someting or why a given parameter is used in the engine settings etc. Overall, you do get a general feel about creating a basic scene & rendering and an idea about the whole work flow if you are a beginner.

This course is ideal for anyone wanting to take their interior rendering skills to the next level. I had no previous experience of using 3ds Max, but this wasn't a problem as Jake takes you through absolutely everything you need to know from modelling right through to rendering. I now feel a lot more confident in my ability to produce high quality interior images. Thanks Jake, looking forward to taking your exterior rendering course next!
