ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer - 2026 (Udemy.com)

I really admire Udemy businesses and lecture instructors to keep updating courses as years go by and certification sites update their policies. It's better to have lifetime updated videos with the latest than to have a book limit the knowledge you need to get a certification. The content Scottie and Maged give, along with real-world examples is really helpful. The tips not mentioned in the syllabus are extra helpful to answer practice test questions. I have waited a long time to take the CTAL-TAE exam, but expect to get it by end of march 2027 with help of Scottie and Maged.

I found this course as a detailed version of original ISTQB syllabus, in understanding what is needed for the exam. Although the sample questions are little easier than real exam ones, practicing mock exams from other sources, on top of this helped me pass the exam.

I work with automation since a few years ago, but this has still given me a deeper insight on better practices and how to properly set up a Test Automation Solution step by step. Will be useful for future projects within my company, and help present it more easily to the rest of the team,

I recently completed the ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer (2025) course. It provided a strong understanding of test automation architecture, design patterns, and best practices beyond tool-specific automation. The course helped me improve my approach to building scalable, maintainable automation frameworks and aligning automation with CI/CD and overall test strategy. I highly recommend it for QA professionals looking to advance their test automation expertise.

Generally this course is good. Has additional explanations of terms from the Syllabus. Also, the voice used is not artificially generated, but "natural". The only thing is that the examples are really very simple and straightforward, so they do not help in preparing for the final exam. I have no objections to everything else.

Thank you to instructors Maged Koshty and Scottie Crump for this useful course. It helped me revise the basics and gain more knowledge on Test Automation methodologies and techniques. The course is helping me prepare for the ISTQB Advanced Test Automation exam with chapter-wise explanations and practice tests.

I think this is a useful resource for revision prior to an exam but the course material could have been better by including more real life examples to give context, rather than simply stating the raw info. I am also reading some study material (test automation fundamentals) and I will rewatch this course in the week leading up to my exam.

grea course just few notes: 1. there is no distinction between K2 and K3/K4 sections: the instructor and questions are great for k2, bu he other types are more analytical while the course focuses on making explaining he concepts rather than how they will be used in analysis 2. some answers in quizzes are too ridiculous and don't really test the knowledge

Thank you Maged Koshty and Scottie Krump for this wonderful course, it is very useful in understanding the basics, core and advanced parts of the Test Automation. I gained a lot from this as i prepare for ISTQB Advanced Test Automation exam.

I have noticed that some topics of section 3 and section 5 are missing, for example 5.1 Selection of TAS Metrics and 5.2 Implementation of Measurement are missing in section 5. To provide me a more complete and in-depth understanding, could you kindly include those missing lectures? I see it has been updated, thank you.
