I would like to have code

This course is of great value. You will learn a lot about Javascript and debugging. However the course is outdated. It uses some old IDE, however it is not required to use proposed IDE.

Clear in-depth explanation of the Chrome debugging tools with understandable examples. I did not use cloud9, because they are different from the examples and it is too much time to see through the interface. So I used Chrome on my local machine. No problem at all. I did all exercises in Safari as well and most have same kind of functionality. Chrome is superior in this case, but for most of the work both browsers did well.

I think that the course does not get to the point, instead covers a lot of fluff. I will consider this rating a low, as I generally don't rate low. But I could not continue, instead went to youtube to find some to-the-point videos.

Good Stuff in each few minutes videos. Recommending this course.

Too much preamble. Anyone taking this course already has as IDE, knows how to code is looking for ways to debug. Lesson 7 (debugging something-or-other) should be called "all about cloud 9 instead of all the other popular ides out there). And lesson eight shouldn't be called Breakpoint but "setting up your environment and writing your 1st html in cloud 9". 7 of those lessons could've been 1 scenario apiece where a debugging 'trick' would come in handy. Most of the lessons will have you staring at an intro slide and listening to sentence after sentence before seeing any action. If you're used to watching tuts on YouTube where the tutor wastes little time this course is NOT for you.

Comprehensive. Could have more complex debugging examples in a realworld context, since you are usually going to touch MUCH more complex code going in and out of libraries (dependencies). In some case libraries are not mapped and so on. A nightmare debugging scenario would be very useful.

Good: Good course for beginners and I did learn quite a bit about DevTools. It's one of the few courses that exist on this topic and it's a good thing it exists. This being said, it is by far the most verbose course I've had on Udemy. The instructor speaks a lot and codes very little. He reads or says what his screen reads but doesn't show any way to fix the very few problems he identifies. You can skip the first 6 videos who bring nothing. Watch it in x2 or x2.5 speed. I don't see why he wanted to use Cloud9 as creating a simple local project would work just as well no matter the version. He doesn't say why he uses a watch when the info he needs is just in the Scope panel. He didn't show how to use Source Maps or many features he spoke about. Only 30 minutes of the 3 hours actually bring something you can use in real life.

It's a good intro, covering a lot for beginners and even parts for intermediate. I did wish there were more examples and bigger projects to follow in Section 4, as that is the only thing I needed more info of. I've learned a few things, but expected to learn more advanced topics. From what I've seen/searched on Udemy, this does seem to be the best course on debugging. I hope you will do an advanced debugging course. I gave 4.5 Stars because I don't feel it's a waste of time. (I did watch on 2x) ;) Thanks!

The concepts are clear and easy to understand. It is very important to specify at the beginning of the course the Cloud 9 installation process, since I had to create an Amazon account and spend time researching how to setup the program. The course is very interesting, I liked it a lot.
