Excellent course for beginners looking to learn JavaScript. Not only the great instruction, but real world tips and things to do and not to do as a new programmer greatly helped. I would like to see this course to be expanded but overall excellent for a new person learning JavaScript.

You can tell us how much we have covered out of JS learning path. After completing this course , I have to go to other websites to be able to understand how much JS I know. Also, you can give the list concepts which you have not covered so that we don't have to go through every video in other tutorials

The course covered all the important basics and was project and activity-based which made it quite engaging. I just felt that perhaps there was a bit of over-explanation but perhaps that is needed for those that come into this course with no programming experience at all. Overall, I had a great experience with the course.

Hello .. Good night! The course is great, gives a very broad view of what "JS" is. I would like to commend the teacher's dynamics. I have only one caveat, I believe I could enumerate the steps. because there are times when we need to change the code of the index and there are times when we need to change the code in the JS document. Thank you and success.

This is an okay quick overview of some javascript. Doesn't start well with a typo right in the description of the course, which says 'basis' instead of 'basics'. Repeatedly uses the word 'orientated' instead of 'oriented'. Leaves out a LOT of javascript fundamentals. Doesn't always give the clearest explanations and sometimes gives incorrect information. For example, says repeatedly that the reason that var x = y is showing undefined in the console is because of hoisting. This has nothing to do with hoisting. var x = y is a statement and statements don't return values, therefore the return is undefined. Later he says that programming languages all start indexing at zero. This is false, many programming languages use 1-based or variable based indexing such as Lua, R, and Smalltalk. When talking about the increment/decrement operators doesn't mention that they can come before or after the variable and that affects the output. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this course, but look at sites like w3schools.com for better info and interactive learning.

It would be useful to have some documents with definitions and example functions of objects etc. and what situations we could use them in. Also, from the trailer it seemed that this will be the full course not just a pilot so I was a little surprised. overall good.

After that course, I'm able now to create variables, functions, and so many things where I learned them from this course and the other. I could definitely making web pages more dynamic by using conditional and loop statements. I really like the instructor Kalob, he always presented the contents in an interesting and encouraging way. Of course, I recommend you to take any course with Kalob. Thank you!

It is a really good course for complete beginners, the style of coding of the instructor is pretty nice to understand and very important Kalob is always attentive to feedbacks and worried about knowing if we are learning well, thanks for the course!

Yes, appreciate how instructor explains everything to the fullest and ,he's very engaging. Seems to be easy to talk to. Allows us to see even he can make mistakes, takes the pressure off for being perfect. Feel this is a good fit and happy I took this great open source education opportunity. Actually, I am returning to this course. There were many things I wanted to bone up on before I took my second stab at it. Amazingly, I made the right decision. This time I was able to keep up with the Instructor, able to pull off all the assignments he gave me and now feel very proud of myself for sticking with it. Teacher made the course very enjoyable. I'm sure I will finish it this time. Thanks Kalob.

Excellent, in all areas: teaching, video, audio....i honestly feel i know more JS now than i did when i enrolled. (And i intend to go through the course at least a couple of times to not only reinforce what i learned but also to check out the "cool graphic art created using just keystrokes (slashes, parenthesis, etc.)"--an innovative use of the JS comments feature" :-) ). I highly recommend anyone checking out the comments before enrolling to please go ahead and enroll--you will not regret! In addition to learning JS essentials, you will also get a certificate and a BONUS (actually 3 gifts) at the end!! Thanks, Mr. Kalob Taulien, for having spared your valuable time and resources to share your knowledge with the world (especially we in the developing world), that too for FREE. I am really grateful and pray and wish that you be bestowed with all the very best in life. A big THANK YOU!
