Excellent teacher! He speaks clearly, calmly and everthing is well explained. The bad side is that the course is old and not up to date. Ex: one of the code explained in the video had the word create but since then it has been replaced with generate in Maven. I had to search for it on the internet. Plugins version are not updated either. This course needs to be updated. At least with POM.xml files attached to the course and update comments added the comment section.

Pros: The topics covered were explained well. The author covered many topics. The author did not repeat himself a lot (very little). Cons: I wished the course was more in depth. Lack of IntelliJ IDEA integration with maven (believe it or not IntelliJ is the best IDE and is used a lot) Two little mistakes slipped in. The author probably would catch it if he reviewed the videos (typing of clean instead of mvn clean).

Hi, I am a Java programmer and we use maven at work. When I've started this course I only knew 'mvn clean install'. At the job all I needed with maven was a copy-paste . Now I am at chapter 8 and I've already understood all I need for work (build a project, lifecycles, phases, dependencies , plugins, modules) and a lot more (make archetypes, plugins). Definitely, it was a good investment. And it took me only 2-3 hours a day for 5 days so far. 2 more chapters to go. I don't know if you have a Jenkins tutorial, but if there is one I want it also.

I really enjoyed this course. The instructor went straight to the point and explained things well. I would say that the course should be tool agnostic. I personally like using Idea Intellij, so I think there should be a mention for different IDEs. I also thought he rushed through the custom plugin section, there could be more detail given to customizing goals names for example.

Best Maven tutorial/course I have completed. I recently started a new role where Maven concepts are important to understand and this course explains these very well. The set up of the course and the examples/exercises really helped in bettering my understanding of Maven. I would love to see an advance level Maven course in the future.

On the plus side I learned a lot about maven so far. The author works a lot from the command line, which helped me to understand how maven concepts translated into commands. Also, he demonstrates some good practices (e.g., how to manage encrypted passwords). On the negative side, the course uses a deprecated way of creating your own first maven plugin (with maven 3.5 the suggested approach does not work at all). To improve the course, the author could provide a cheat-sheet (as pdf) with the maven commands he uses (and their effect). I currently have to go back in the lectures to find all those commands.

This is easily one of the best course I've ever taken in my life. The explanations are very clear, precise, concise and the course covers a lot ! The author speaks very clearly and explains the concepts very well. I feel really confident about applying the new skills I learned in this video ! The pace was so good that I have completed the course in only a few days !

A/ I’m very grateful for the excellent quality of this course. I invested a lot of time on Youtube and on this website to learn Maven, some course are good, I even rated it 5 stars, then when I tried to apply the knowledge into works, I realized that what I learned is superficial, I can talk about Maven, but I can’t apply what I learned!!! On this website, I bought 3 other Maven courses before this course: - I gave up the 1st course at around 35%, each time I wanted to resume, I was so bored that I gave up again after only a few minutes. - The 2nd course has my 5 star rating, but I realized with this course I have only good vocabulary about Maven, unapplicable to solve the issue I have with Maven. - I gave up the 3rd course near the end, because of the monotone, boring voice, strong accent of the teacher, the course is of so-so quality, I only heard about the concept, I did not see how to do it. Then I decided to switch to this course, and I’m very satisfied: - Knowledge built up solidly, clearly, step by step. Before going to m2e plugin, the teacher gave a good background of how Maven works in command line. When the background is well built, then m2e plugin becomes a piece of cake. - I can immediately apply what I learned in this course to solve or answer the issues of Maven I was stuck before. B/ Excellent points of this course: - The teacher has a very clear intonation, pronunciation, not a monotone, lullaby speech. - Every important point is demonstrated by a visual demo. - I can solve the Maven issues I have. C/Why I wasted a lot of time with other courses and not buy this course 1st? This course is very expensive, $50, this is a stopper or a blocker. I wanted to buy it, then turned away because of its high price (all Infinite Skills courses are same price!) The quality of this course justifies the more expensive price, however I still think that $50 is too expensive. $35 or max $40 is a reasonable price. Reducing price will create a win-win situation: - you will get more students, and will earn much more money to compensate reduced price, - students pay more, but really learn something. D/ My suggestions to make this course a dream: - In beginning of each section, or lecture: a Power Point displaying main points of the lecture to help student immediately grasp the roadmap of the lecture - Closed-caption if possible, or transcript of the lecture - If students buy other courses from Infinite skills, then give student a discount price for bundled purchase. Note: I’m hooked with the excellent quality of this course and will buy other courses from Infinite skills now! (but why’s so expensive, sigh!!!) In brief, in waiting for better price of Infinite Skills courses, thank you very much for excellent quality of this course.

An excellent course. The instructor covers all the important Maven topics, including the m2e plugin for Eclipse which is quite recent and very useful. The lecturer speaks very clearly and provides good examples to demonstrate what he is saying. The lecture length and speed of delivery are just right for students to remember the content of the lectures without being overwhelmed. Thoroughly recommended if you need to learn Maven.

This course is comprehensive and there is plenty to learn. The teacher is clear and knowledgeable with good audio and video. The only reason I have not given this course 5 stars is the teacher has not replied to the questions I saw within the course and on a few lectures he didn't take you through the setup and its not a full list of tutorial files, so you need to pause, work it out and build the project to follow along, but it's not impossible. I followed most of this course with IntelliJ so that's ok too, but obviously not the m2eclipse plugin section.
