Even though I already knew LVM concepts the instructor, Jason, provided detail explanation regarding LVM concepts. This is a really great course for new Linux users and users who require a refresher on LVM concepts.

Thanks quite a good course :) in my case the easiest way to execute all of the commands was to use vBox with some system like Debian and add multiple disks even smaller size (like 500M instead of 50G). With these you can easily execute all steps given in the course.

So far so good. But I actually took this course because as system administrator you encounter problems with LVM quite often. Unfortunately not one problematic scenario was discussed. It's just the basics, but these are explained really well and in a good tempo.

Good course. What I'd like to see 1. if adding 5g of space to an LV I omitted the "+" thus resizing the LV to 5g. How would I fix that ? If fixing potential command line "oops" were added to this video this would be awesome. 2, the LVM commands covered have various command line options. a brief discussion of them -- why and how to use them. that'd be awesome too.

Excellent information about LVM. I would have liked some additional information about snapshot creation, it's purpose and usage regarding backups, and their deletion. Otherwise packed with great information about LVM!

Short, yet concise. Just what I needed. You will, most likely, have to view the course a few times as there is a lot of good information that can be immediately applied. I am going to create a NAS server using a RaspberryPi 4 using Ubuntu Server 20.04 on a disk drive enclosure purchased on Amazon. The reason I purchased the course is to, of course, use logical volumes and, perhaps RAID 1 as the storage strategy. I feel that I can recommend this course to those learning logical volume management for similar use.

I needed to understand LMS to set up my game server. I am a complete new ti Linux. This course helped explain LMS to me. I'm hoping to use it to run multiple games, but to start with it gave me the line of code I needed and has me on the right path. It's great to be able to refer back to the clearly worded explanations. The download of the commands used with transcript is also extremely useful. I would highly recommend this course. It's clear concise and very well explained. Being able to go back to the course to watch again will be very helpful. It's a lot to learn.

As usual Jason Cannon teaches well and always delivers when it comes to Linux. His videos are well paced and very knowledgeable and you feel like a Linux guru at the end of each course. Thanks to him I got a entry job as a Linux Admin over a year and a half ago. Any Linux classes, Mr Cannon can hook you up!!

Yes, I've worked with RAID and LVMs but this is a big boost in understanding, plus I've learned about several commands with which I was previously unfamiliar. Good useful course, clearly presented, and well-organized. The "LVM Companion Workbook / Guide" download was nice to have
