A bit tedious to get started with the vagrant stuff but I skipped that and used a tiny VM instead which I am cloning for each section and I am learning tons of stuff!

Working as a beginner level Product Operations Member I started this course, and how much it become helpful from using the commands to interact with the Linux Server Machines, to writing my own scripts and automate some of the workflow is the result I'm seeing after learning the concepts and applying it in my work. Thank you Jason Canon for teaching this course, a very useful one I learnt this year.

This course takes from the very basics to everyday and some advanced bash shell scripting use cases. Jason covers everything that is needed. It does help to do some independent practice based on what was learned in each video, but this course is well worth the purchase.

as for the VIM course, teacher Cannon is very good at explaining clearly and giving off some bits of other info for advanced users. I'm already into scripting and yet this course proved invaluable in saving me lots of time for future projects.

I have gained a solid foundation in shell scripting in Bash. Recommended!

It is a good course. With interesting challenges and exercises. It helped deepening my understanding, however I definitely struggle hard if this is my first shell scripting course.

It was a good course. The instructor delivered the content well and was good at pointing a lot of the nuances of how the shell commands work. I've had bash experience in the past, but the course helped round out my knowledge of bash scripting.

Begins with Vagrant, gets better as you go in. Too much time wasted on vagrant though especially if there is no interest to learn about it.

Jason teaches Bash scripting by building small projects in each section. Every project connects to the next one, adding new features so you don’t have to start from scratch each time, which helps prevent confusion when learning something new. I followed the course on Ubuntu 22.04 Server. Apart from a few small differences, everything worked fine. The only downside is that the recorded audio volume is too low.

This covers so many useful concepts, but more importantly, the exercises help you mentally process what your needs are, and what are the necessary steps to program in your script to fulfill that need.
