Course Description
Build clear, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations
Updated for 2026.
More than 90% of business professionals rely on PowerPoint to communicate. A well-structured slide deck can shape critical decisions by making complex information easier to understand and act on.
Consulting firms such as McKinsey, BCG, and Bain have refined a presentation style that is now used well beyond consulting, including board meetings, investor pitches, strategy reviews, and government briefings. These presentations simplify complexity, focus attention on what matters, and help presenters make a persuasive case under pressure.
This course teaches that approach step by step. You will learn how to structure your story, design clear slides, present data, and deliver your recommendation with confidence. The 2026 update also covers how to use ChatGPT to refine your storyline, sharpen the logic, and polish your slide design.

John Burress
Hi, I'm John. I help managers, business analysts and aspiring consultants break down complex business problems, make sense of the numbers and present their recommendations with confidence.
I've worked in management consulting, financial services, business analysis and advisory roles. My courses on Udemy have reached more than 230,000 learners and received over 30,000 reviews.
A framework can make perfect sense on paper and still leave you wondering how to use it in a meeting, on a project or when an important decision comes your way. I understand that frustration. In my courses, we start with practical business questions: Why are profits falling? Is a new market worth entering? How do you build a convincing business case?
We'll work through realistic cases together, using structured problem-solving methods and financial analysis. Along the way, you'll learn to choose suitable tools, question assumptions and weigh the evidence. We'll also spend time on how to explain your reasoning clearly, so others can understand your recommendation and the thinking behind it. Asking better questions is part of that work from the start.
I'll also show you how to use AI to help with research, analysis and preparing presentations. That includes checking what it produces and using your own professional judgement to decide what to trust.

I was more looking forward to slide building for consultant in terms of using AI or powerpoint to build. I have learned how to build a consulting style deck in terms of content already in school.

Rating: Good ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ I enrolled in this course mainly to access PowerPoint templates and learn additional PowerPoint skills to create more polished, professional presentation decks. So far, the learning experience has been good. I'm enjoying the structured approach and the way the concepts are explained. The course appears to focus more on presentation structure, storytelling, and McKinsey-style thinking rather than advanced PowerPoint design techniques, which still matches my expectations. Based on what I've completed so far, I would recommend this course to beginners or anyone looking to improve their presentation structure and communication skills. I'll update my review with a final verdict after I finish the entire course.

I have just started the course and it had me hooked within the first 5-minutes, as I am one of the people mentioned who rolls their eyes when people spend hours on presentations. But the course has already shifted me from the skeptic to having an appreciation for the value of presentations. Super practical and useful from the very beginning.

I'm halfway through the course and it's been very insightful and highly educational. I've always been a fan of business consultants and their level of thinking and problem solving, and this course really dives deep into all of that. I'm looking forward to finishing the rest of the course.
