1. Outdated Content: The technology covered is completely obsolete. Today, in 2026, Red Hat is already on version 10, yet this course focuses on versions 6 and 7. Teaching systems that are several generations behind is not acceptable for current professional needs. 2. Lack of Originality and Depth: The majority of the videos are simply a "copy and paste" of Linux man pages (manuals). There is no real teaching or expert insight; it feels like the instructor is just reading the documentation that anyone can find for free. It appears to be a mix of three different courses stitched together without a clear structure. 3. Poor Practical Application: The course lacks a logical flow (common thread) and the information feels isolated. Furthermore, there is no guidance on the lab environment or which virtual machines to use for practice. This makes it impossible to apply the theory in a hands-on laboratory setting. Conclusion: The course lacks a professional narrative and fails to provide updated, practical knowledge. I expected a structured learning path, but instead, I received a fragmented collection of outdated information.

Covers a lot of ground. I have a lot of experience with Linux but I learned a lot. There are some commands that are dated, but it goes to show just how fast Linux is moving forward, and how well Linux adapts to these changes as they come!

By Dias Saiynov on 7/1/2024

Some sections are repetitive or needless (red hat satellite) I wish the author would post more real life problem solutions than simple labs and give some overview of popular Linux distributions and main its differences Still no regrets for taking this course as my first entry to system administration Thanks !

Nice course. I knew bits and pieces of Linux. I think with this course I have gone a bit further in understanding Linux. Feel more confident. I have gone through this course at 1.73x speed, mainly because I knew a few things, and this course filled in a lot of gaps and added topics to my knowledge. Thanks for this. GOD Bless.

By Kenneth Andrew Whitten on 12/9/2022

The course is showing its age. The content is good but it would be good not too rely so heavily on Centos 7 and remove the sections pertaining to Centos 6. I will see you in the Next course. The teacher has a good knowledge of the topic and the explanations are generally quite clear. There are times when he should warn the students in advance.. I have turned firewalling off or selinux is in permisive mode.

By Ron Hardy on 2/5/2022

Excellent course. Very detailed with many examples and opportunities to work alongside the instructor in practical labs. Several script programs are included and enough knowledge is transmitted to allow a novice to write simple and useful bash programs. The exam at the end is merely a general review of the material. But, is still useful.

I already certified RHCSA but this lectured cleared my most of the doubt. Your provided real time troubleshooting lectures that are awesome. I am expecting more add on in this course from you. Please provide lectures on inode and sar tools and monitoring tools like Nagios. I already started learning your Linux HA clustering course.

Thanks Shikhar for this amazing course. This course has got the basics to advanced level depth knowledge of Linux. Shikhar have some barriers while speaking in this course, but the technicality and concepts are clear to point.

By Avinash Kumar on 12/28/2018

Shikhar, you are an excellent tutor. The course helped me understand the basic of Linux, I am a UNIX guy and I am good at its Basics, but Linux was new too me, much of them are same but what ever was different your course has answered them. Keep up the excellent work and upload more advanced courses. Thanks again and Best of Luck
