Mastering IELTS Writing: Task 1 (General Training) (Udemy.com)

Matt is the best writing teacher ever. Before getting to his lectures, I had always been stuck at 6.5 in IELTS writing test. But after studying his courses, I got 7.5 and then 8 in writing. I have been using his approach which is absolutely practical and helpful, in writing essays and reports in my graduate study. The Mastering task and the Model answers courses are a perfect combo, you should buy them both for each task. I couldn't thank him enough.

I preferred to start with Task 1 and it was amazing. There are so many different tips and ways to practice. Now it is my time to train all of these and try to score at the test. I will always recommend this course, as I think it is the one with most explanations and quality of explanation.

I have seen tons of courses online but never have I seen a course like this one. It is wonderful, how every minor detail has been covered in each course. My first course was IELTS writing task 2, later I purchased writing task 1, and model answer courses as well. Just Amazing.

I personally like the course, however, the only thing that bothered me while taking the course is the pace at which Mr. Matt speaks... It is quite slow, luckily enough though there's a playback speed feature on the platform, so all II did was adjust the speed to 1.25x. The issue here was that I wanted to go even further into 1.5x but could not as Mr. Matt's pace sometimes speeds up in between. Overall this course deserves the #1 spot it is in and such a frivolous matter should not be taken into consideration. Nevertheless, I thought I would bring this matter up as feedback, not as a complaint.

Excellent Course with perfect strategy and terms to grasp! Just got the result and this is my score for IELTS GT: S: 7 W:8 L:8.5 R:8.5 For speaking, I had not prepared so it stayed low. Everything from band descriptors to covering each and every topic in a vary detailed manner as well as making the learner to try and figure out how to build sentences using correct vocabulary was very well done. Thank you so much. Worth the buy..

It would be more apt, if you could give same example using all the three types of category at same time like giving example for apology/invitation/request same time for informal, semi formal and formal.

The course has put many points on the table which we should consider upon taking our writing task. I always fall short in my writing by 0.5 in my IELTS writing ( 7 points I wish to score ). I'm practising every point he has highlighted in the course to achieve my goal.

To begin with, I would like to thank Matt for making this course as I requested for the same. I must say that course is very well structured, Band descriptors are thoroughly explained and what we need to do to achieve our desires band. I would like to see more exercises to further improve the course. I strongly recommend this course to anyone who is looking to appear in IELTS GT exam to get a good understanding and score highly to achieve their desired band. Thanks.

I enjoyed the course and found it helpful. However, it would have more helpful if the question had provided some sample letters to read which were band 7 and above. This course should have provide several samples at the end which to read as reference to bring my preparation a full circle.
