Mastering IELTS Speaking: The Express Course (Udemy.com)

Hi, I have taken this course in October 2024 and it helped me a lot in securing a good score (band 8) in IELTS. I had solely relied on this course for my IELTS exam preparation and trained intensively for just a week but it gave me all the necessary information and confidence to take the exam. The course is well designed and the explanation and templates are quite helpful. I secured band 8 in my IELTS exam thanks to the amazing instructor and course.

These lessons are good and clear, but they are too basic for me. I already know much of the information covered in them. However, I can praise the delivery of the lessons. I am sure they can be helpful for many students. There are some aspects that can be improved: it's difficult to track back the grammar mistakes when the new screen with the correction appears. It may be helpful for some people to know the specific aspect of grammar being corrected, such as pointing out the name: articles, tenses, conditionals, etc.

I think it was certainly helpful, in terms of advice and mental preparation for the actual exam. There is some great advice and interesting points in it. But, as far as the actual practice that matters, it can only take you so far. I would say, this course should be viewed much before the exam, and between the course and speaking test, vigorous, real practice should be carried out with good English speakers, ones who are fluent with it, so you can learn to imitate it. At least a month would be absolutely necessary to become comfortable enough with the kind of English they require us to use in the test.

I found a lot of good tips and relevant general, or specific information about the exam and its speaking parts. I really appreciate the examples given and some tips about games to practice speaking before going to take the test. I also found useful some tips about how to increase my vocabulary range from podcasts and talking to IELTS's tutor, though I'm not sure if I will be able to put in action this last part.

I definitely recommend this course for anyone who really want to improve your speaking with a good strategy. The content is extremely expressive and really helpful to help you understand clearly what common errors of English-language learner are in grammar, vocabulary, and the like. I'm massively appreciated to your work in this.

Great course again following the already outstanding IELTS techniques that Matt has shared through this and his other Udemy courses. However, particularly for this Speaking express course, I would have liked to see a bit more emphasis on having a big-picture strategy during the exam's Speaking section as it felt that these tips came and went by intermittently and were only wrapped up together at the very end of the course, with the Band 9 solution walkthrough. Other than that, I liked it very much!

Matt is able to bring the most important information clearly across. Few samples are given for support to learn and understand the content of the course even better. Clear structures, clear spoken. Well done as well. Matt, if you are looking for improvement potential, then I would say to ad even more example from previous tests / exams. ( a nice conditional sentence, isn't it :-) )

This is the second course I finish and I liked it, I have just one comment about the examples, Matt says he has a huge group of people working with him at his website, but all the examples are done using his voice and his nice and natural speed, I think it would be nice if he start doing them with his teammates and give the online students the possibility of listening different accents and speeds, that will make it more interesting and will generate more useful questions.

The most comprehensive course about IELTS speaking i've ever seen. I highly recommend this course and writing task 2 course for those who want to have an excellent mark on IELTS exam. Course covers everything related to Speaking part of the exam and the instructor has an awesome, clear pronunciation and direct guides what to do and the most important is how to do. Thank you for a such valuable course, which is full of useful advices, tips, tricks etc. This course is definitely worth of your money.
