Matt is the best writing teacher ever. Before getting to his lectures, I had always been stuck at 6.5 in IELTS writing test. But after studying his courses, I got 7.5 and then 8 in writing. I have been using his approach which is absolutely practical and helpful, in writing essays and reports in my graduate study. The Mastering task and the Model answers courses are a perfect combo, you should buy them both for each task. I couldn't thank him enough.

This course helped me score 7 in writing. I was stuck at 6.5 for the last 3 times I gave the test. This course gives a detailed idea on how to approach different types of essay questions, which is very easy to follow and implement on the exam day. Also, Q and A section allows you to ask questions which are answered within a day or two. I am really grateful that i chose this course.

I have been getting 6.5 repeatedly in the IELTS writing exam, but after buying this course, I was able to achieve band 7.5 in writing. I bought two courses together, one of which was 'Achieve Band 7+ in 6 hours' and other one is this ' Band 9 model answers'. The former teaches the basic rules of writing an essay and throws light on some common grammar mistakes people do, and the later dictates how to brainstorm, plan, and write an effective essay. Both these courses helped me in achieving band 7.5.

it is good however, it is a bit complicated for non native speakers and learners of language. it is not easy to write like this in a test and although I studying this it doesn't mean I will be able to write something similar in the exam.

Thanks Matt, when i started this course i started gaining confidence in writing. I used to get good scores in all sections in IELTS expect Writing . i was at 6.5 level all the time and upon completion of this course i realized my mistakes and started practicing with the techniques discussed in the course. And i got my IELTS score today . They are : Listening : 8.5 Reading : 8 speaking : 8 Writing : 7.5 Thanks Matt, this course is amazing . it was a long jump to me from 6.5 to 7.5 .

I have watched several tutoring videos on Ielts writing task 2, and it seems that the categorization of essays varies among mentors, which took me a while to adapt myself to. The lessons are well-structured respectively, but I do feel that a brief introductory session, if included in the very beginning, would provide the viewers with a head start. That's why I consider adding a briefing about the reasoning behind the classification a viable modification. Anyway, what makes a difference here is that the model essays are presented methodically and crystal clear with the help of the interface and kit, although I haven't completed all the sessions yet, so far I have seen quite a few worthy tips and thought-provoking suggestions. Thanks for the well-made lessons, and keep up the good work.

Hi Matt, Course is absolutely engaging and incredibly structured.
