Mastering Selections and Masks in Photoshop (Udemy.com)

Well below average for this author. Coverage of this broad and deep topic is narrow and shallow. You won't master anything here, but there are some useful masking techniques if you are new to the subject and are willing to learn them by rote.

Very good content about selecting and masking. But sometimes it goes to quickly especially about shortcuts used for selecting / masking and channel stuff... The author could have shown the exact commands using the menu function, and the shortcuts! I'm using a windows machine, he is using a mac. The shortcuts are not the same every time...I found myself struggling to find the equivalent and digging into photoshop menus to accomplish the same thing he explain.

The entire course was very good except we could not understand some of his commands . Better if he is slow in explaining what keys to push in . it will also be better if he provides resources to work with him. lastly he said during lecture , write to me , i wrote and no answer so far. His cources will be great with some improvements.

I gave this rating because this lectures are really helpful in understanding the way photoshop masks are working, and it allows you to master the layer masks, background and forground data of images.

The Course has some very interesting contents, but as a "Master Selections & Mask" training, i was expecting to master selections and masks. Most of the selections (before the contrast topics) were basic ... and nowhere it was shown how to tackle the hairs, do refine edges, etc... In real world we will not have the chance to select the almost same color as before, to change background, so it would be of extreme importance to know how to tackle the halos, and refine edges of the selections and masks. No mention to lower opacity, to have the brush feathered, or even to work with blended modes to tackle better the whites and blacks of the masks in order to get better selections and masks ... I spent the money expecting to be better on selections and masks, and i only got a better understanding and tricks/methods of changing contrast in photos ...

Great course; the instructor worked a little too quick for me, which caused me to have to rewind a bit to follow along. The information was great and I learned alot about selection tools.

The instructor is clearly an expert and has much to offer. The course started out well with clear presentations, easy to follow. As it progressed, the presentations started to become much too haphazard with too much jumping around from one concept to the next without a clear hierarchy. Sometimes, it was as if the instructor was just talking to himself. The one thing I did get out of this course was that there are many ways to select. I would just seek an instructor who was able to present these ways in a much more organized fashion.

This is the second course i buy from Marcin and i reccomend it to anyone, he gives such a valuable information and you will definetly feel like a pro after his courses, the possibilities are endless.

i like how he is explaining things, and i learned something that i didn't know before. i start liking to play with those masks and excited for the rest of the course, thank you sir.

Great course for beginners and also have many valuable informations for more advanced users ,for example color grading techniques using different luminosity masks.I definitely recommend this course and Thx Marcin !
