Microsoft MTA Security Fundamentals: 98-367 (Udemy.com)

Marious was awesome. Even though he has have an accent...don't let that stop you. His explanation of the subject matter is clear and concise. I passed my exam with only having watched this course and MVA's free course with Chirstopher Chapman and Thomas Willingham.

Fantastic class, I passed my exam with flying colors!!! Mr. Marious is very knowledgeable in this subject and give real world examples of what to expect in the office or at home. Highly recommended.

For the most part, this is a good video series with the instructor giving solid information. I would recommend this as a starting point for anyone looking into MTA Fundamentals. A few times during the video, though, the instructor rattled off some topics, stating we should look them up as they might be on the exam. If they might be on the exam, then go through those topics.

I'm an IT professional looking to brush up on my security knowledge as it relates to Microsoft's tools, solutions, and products. The amount of (in my case) unnecessary background info made the lectures take longer than necessary.

Overall a good course that covered all of the topics on the MTA Security Fundamentals. My one issue is that I wish there were more practice exam questions and/or links to resources with practice exam questions. UPDATE: After taking a few practice exams I feel totally unprepared for the exam. The course was not helpful in preparing to taking the exam and merely introduced every topic on the exam.

The information is good and the presenter knowledgable although I must admit that I have to run the whole course at double speed due to the slow presentation of the presenter.

Very good job, however many lessons have been duplicated from other courses I've already followed. Maybe some subjects should be discussed more deeply (cryptography f.e.). Thank you.

This is an excellent course, the instructor speaks clearly and at a good pace - in addition he does not brush over topics; he provides more than enough detail on each one. The instructor has also very kindly provided multiple detailed real world examples on many of the topics, making it even easier to understand everything. I have been following these videos and doing the practice exams - everything the instructor has covered has come up in the exams. This course is well worth the buy - many thanks to the instructor!

This is a good course and does have a lot of information about the fundamentals. The explanations don't go into too much depth and are usually easy to follow. He does tend to go a bit off topic and talk about networking, but when talking about security of networks I guess it's hard not to, so it might be worth taking this course and the networking one to get a good overview of the lot. He uses a lot of pictures to help describe what he is talking about which helps. I've not done any other courses about MS Security so I can't compare to any others.
