Mixing and Mastering in Logic Pro - Music Production Guide (Udemy.com)

I have been the most frustrated artist for the last two years. I have taken other music production courses and I had no idea how much knowledge and skill it really took to create a professional record. So, now after taking this course and recently finishing it, I can confidently say that I have the skill set to create a quality record, where I can feel confident to release to the public. Dont expect it to be easy, it is simple, but it requires lots of concentration, application and study. But, if you are willing to invest time into your career and some money, I'd say this has been one of the BEST and most thorough courses I have ever taken. Buy it, study it, and get on with your music career!

Ive been using Logic Pro for a few years and never knew the direction of how the audio travels threw the DAW itself until this course - which in turn makes ALL the difference in the world. Now, Im able to place effects, compressions and buses more confidently and with a greater understanding of how the sound is being artistically manipulated by this "direction". I also learned a lot of new things with some subjects I was already familiar with, on top of extra clarity on those same subjects... All in all I learned a lot and it's going to take sometime for all this information I gathered to settle and become permanent. In fact, it's very likely I'll have to come back and revisit these courses to make sure what I'm doing is legit and to make this all great knowledge imbedded. But I loved the course, and I Thank You for all your help!

Ian is an ABSOLUTE SUPERSTAR! His presentations are so clear, concise, well-paced, and go into such precise detail. He offers multiple explanations and instructions for the same processes, as well as demonstrating the do's and don'ts in a superb and easy-to-follow fashion. Ian sets the standard for how these courses should be - he's a natural and I can't recommend his work enough! Also, having examples to work from was HUGELY BENEFICIAL! This helped make mixing and mastering look far less intimidating than it did prior to these tutorials. I highly recommend this course! It doesn't cover anything too complicated, so it's great for beginners and low-intermediates. Fantastic all around!

I loved this course! I learned so much, the instructors clearly communicated difficult concepts, and they used songs from across many genres to show what to do in different mixing contexts. I feel ready to mix my first album! My only "issue" was that when I tried to follow along on Logic, sometimes the instructor would make a change without narrating it -- so while my eye was on my own DAW, I was missing something the instructor was doing and didn't realize it until a few lessons later after my mix turned out VERY different from the instructor's. The issue was easily resolved when I stopped following along and just watched.

Quite good content to get started in mixing and a bit in mastering. Would be even better to get more in depth about when to apply certain things rather than other instead of just presenting a list of techniques . I felt that once I started having a mix in front of myself I struggled to decide what to focus on and started applying randomly things learnt in the course, instead of having an idea of what to look for and how to make decisions

As a singer/songwriting self-producing an album, this course was tremendously helpful. I had a beginners level of experience mixing and no experience mastering. I'm finishing this course confident that I can make myself sound professional, presentable and decent. Of course, I'm not going to compete with a mixing/mastering engineer with 20 years of practice. However, I'm confident I can produce good mixes and master them to appropriate levels. I highly recommend this course if you're considering it. The course includes logic files so you can practice along with the video. Thanks guys!

Had a really amazing session with the tutors there. The intro lessons seemed quite familiar to me , but i learned quite a lot when it came to Eq-ing and Compression . Did get a lil ear fatigued towards the end of the course because the S's of the tutor were sharp and sticking out and so i had to reduce the volume down a bit. I really hoped there were sessions where you showed us how to mix/master with third party plugins, but thats okay :) But overall i had a wonderful 7.5 hrs of learning , so much new information from tutors , especially from Ian. You guys made my lockdown days more useful. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

O curso me ajudou a entender melhor as ferramentas de mixagem, organizar melhor a sequencia das operações desse processo, além de orientar sobre questões como volume de mixagem, valores em decibéis para determinadas ações, valores de frequências e sobre vários aspectos da masterização. Muitas dúvidas e incertezas foram esclarecidas ao longo do processo. Posso dizer que sigo mais confiante em mixar meus próprios projetos usando o Logic após ter feito esse curso. Great course. I've learned so much about mixing and mastering. I've actually now completed the course twice and it's been really helpful to do so because there is so much to absorb. There's lots to keep you busy and learning, and perhaps just as important, I have found that the tutors and learning assistants (cheers, Daniel!) have consistently given excellent responses to questions I had - and there were a lot of them! Thanks so much to everyone involved on the course.

Great match for me, as a beginner. I love that you gave us a project file so I can do exactly what you are doing and follow along. Also, I now finally understand compression! Your explanation and demo made sense to me, unlike every other explanation I have ever seen. So far overall I am learning a lot. Thank you.
