Course Description

Do you want to master your smartphone and learn how to capture breathtaking and professional looking photos?

Then you've come to right place!

In this course, I will be teaching you mobile photography in such a way that no matter what type of phone you have (Android or iOS), you will be able to follow along with ease.

Here are some of the things we will be covering in this course:

Basic Settings in Mobile Photography

Here we will going through all the important settings and modes you need to know in order to do mobile photography. We will cover things like how to hold your phone, focusing, exposure, field of view, different modes and settings, etc.

This part will make you understand your Smartphone completely and you will get really warmed up. More importantly, you will have all your fundamentals in place before we go towards the more challenging stuff.

Principles of Lighting and Composition

Here we will be learning about some important principles like harsh and soft light, rule of thirds, leading lines, filling the frame, digital zoom vs optical zoom, etc.

This part will make you understand what forms a beautiful photo and you will understand the artistic principles behind taking a photo.

Food and Product Photography

This will be part where will start taking more challenging shots. In this particular shoot we will doing a professional beverage shoot.

You will find that we will use all the principles and settings that we learned in the first two sections.

Macro Photography

In this section we will be learning how to use an external clip-on Macro lens to get some really professional and sharp looking Macro shots.

What you will see here is that the built-in Macro lens of the Smartphone just doesn't do a good job as compared to the external lens.

Long Exposure Photography

A lot of people think that long exposure photography can only be done using a DSLR or a Mirrorless camera. But in this section you will be seeing that it can be done using the PRO MODE on your Smartphone where you get full control over settings like Shutter Speed and ISO.

We will be seeing how to get some creative long exposure shots like Light Painting and Light Trails.

Portrait Photography

In this section, we will be learning how to capture some great looking portraits using your mobile. We will be learning about how to use good lighting and also how to get a good background blur which isolates your subject well and makes for a distraction-free portrait.

Shooting and Editing Videos

In this section you will watch me do an entire video shoot using a very budget set-up. These videos can be used for social media platforms like Instagram Reels. I will also be showing you how to edit these videos using a free video editing app.

Editing Photos

In this section we will be learning how to edit the shots we have taken throughout this course using a free app called Snapseed.

As you can see this really is a one-stop course on how to master your Smartphone and take some amazing photos.

I'm a professional Photography and Videography Instructor and have been teaching this art for the last 10 years. I currently have over 45,000 students from over 160 countries. So you can rest assured that you will be dealing with someone who has a lot of experience in this field.

I hope to see you inside the course :)

I have only just begun doing this course (section 3) and I am completely invested. The explanations and topics are fantastic. I can't believe how much I've already learned in just a few videos. Update Section 7- Still amazing, instructor has forgotten more about camera than most of us will ever know. Watching the photos coming from a budget phone is like watching a magic trick.

In these two sections, the instructor was talking a little too fast, and I found it hard to understand him. The Adobe was excellent; the stacking was used to get a great shot of the flower.

its an amazing course for me because i dont have dslr...im using android budget phone and i am happy instructor is also showing normal smartphone and not expenisve phone

In some points the course becomes frustrating, I don't see that there is much need to compare phone photography with DSLR in as many occasions, it is pretty obvious that who enrolled in this course wants to learn how to get the most of the phone camera and overcome as many obstacles as possible... not to see how the DSLR is better than mobile photography. Otherwise the course is quite informative, with so many useful tips and advice, and step by step work, it is beneficial for individuals who cannot afford costly equipment but still want to capture moments and create something out of them.

It was a good course to know general things about photography. I wish I would have seen more examples about the miscellaneous modes/settings section and lightning/composition with people. Also, sometimes the quality of the videos was not the best. In general, I feel I learned and can use some of the concepts that I got from this course.

This is perfect for me. I'm good with computers but useless with a mobile phone really. It will give me the confidence I need to understand the different aspects of mobile photography, which is a good thing as the Nikon is heavy and cumbersome for a whole day out

Great course! Very good and down to earth explanations of technical and artistical issues. Just what I needed. I had poor skills and have always ended up with poor photos. The quality of my photos improved significantly already after the first few lessons.

By Steve Ammann on 1/12/2023

Good job explaining the content. Most of it wasn't for me but I was still able to pull some bits and info out of it for what I intend to use photography for. The instructor made a fair point that they cant cover all camera phones out there which leaves some room for students to go out and discover the remaining features of their phone and a few other photography guidelines but in the end this feels like a good spot to start your journey if your interested.

By Paul McCudden on 1/10/2023

A good course. Really improved my photos. I do wish more time was spent on photo taking techniques and less time in the settings. To be fair this is a mobile photography class, so it makes sense to focus on the settings that are unique to phones.

I just love love loved this Macro photography session. I do like taking macro shots but never really knew how to take a better one using Focus Stacking and Photoshop and all other tips. Thanks Kush Update: This whole course was very interesting and informative. Fastest course to finish haha! Great job Kush, learned so many new things, also about apps, gears/ accessories. Overall great course
