According to statistics, nearly 50% of all Java developers use Mockito when they write tests for their Java applications. It’s a basic skill required by most employees, so if you want to start your Java Developer career or take it to another level, you’ll have to write unit tests. With Mockito, you’ll write them better and faster.
COURSE OVERVIEW
In this course, you’ll learn only the practical aspects of Mockito 5 – the latest version of the most popular mocking framework for Java applications.
I’ll introduce only the essential theory behind mocking, and then dive straight into the code to get you started as quickly as possible. I’ll use an example of a simple, but practical Java project to show you a variety of mocking techniques. You'll also learn the best practices and coding standards for unit tests based on my developing experience.
This course also comes with a one-page cheat sheet for a quick Mockito 5 reference. You’re welcome to use it freely after the course—it’s bound to save you hours!
COURSE ADVANTAGES
• concise – my short video lectures focused on the most important info help you save time and learn maximally effectively,
• based on practice – instead of useless academic theory, you learn the best developing practices drawn from my work experience,
• reasonably priced – compared to stationary developer bootcamps, the course is much cheaper, so you save not only time but also money,
• available anywhere, anytime – the online form lets you run the course in the most convenient place (at home, work or in a café) and time (while commuting by metro or relaxing at home after work), so you can adjust it to your agenda,

Hi!
My name’s Adrian and I’m an engineering manager and a former senior software developer. I specialise in back-end languages such as Java and Python. My programmer portfolio also includes lots of database technologies: both SQL and NoSQL databases. I hold a Master’s Degree in Computer Science.
I have over 10 years of experience teaching people IT online. What makes my courses special is their practical background – I’m an active developer, not an IT theorist, so I know the best practices. I also know what programming skills are in demand.
My courses are:
- based on practice so that you don’t learn useless theory,
- straight to the point to save your time,
- easily digestible because I want you to understand it all without problems.

I like the lectures, but they are not explained well enough for someone who is new to Java. I wouldn't recommend it because some things are skipped over or not explained properly, which is confusing and means you have to check the whole project because of a tiny point, which takes a lot of time. On the other hand, the tutors try to finish the videos really quickly, and I think he thinks that if he records the videos quickly, it will be easier, but it's not really. For anyone who wants to buy this course, I would recommend thinking twice and not being fooled by what he said. I worked as a Java developer and I know what you need; I'm not theoretical. Don't be fooled by that sentence.

Thank you so much for your courses! It’s truly impressive how you managed to cover all the essentials within just two hours in such a clear and engaging way. The explanations were easy to follow, the examples were practical, and the pace was perfect for learning. Please consider creating more courses on Java — I’d be excited to take them!"

Importing already written code is not good and you're going little bit fast while teaching and also try to explain the code step by step and then start the tutor thank you.

A lot of information that would have taken a lot of time to learn is presented in a concise and structured way on this course. Of course, practice will be needed after the course to get a good grasp on the subject, but I think that in order to usea new set of tools is to know which tools do you have on the first place and what is their purpose.

Next to the Unit Testing course, it's the best course I've ever seen. Author has very good diction and is very specific in conveying knowledge and explaining issues. The course lasts about 2 hours, while the others, talking about the same, take up to 8 hours.

This was the second course I have taken, and definitely the foundation were covered in this course and I can say it because I am new using test for Java and this has helped me to understand and go forward to my dutties. Maybe the thing I would like to add maybe is the possibility to add a short video to show how to configure the environment using IntelliJ Idea as part of the same course.

It's a really concrete, well explained and well prepared course. It's really noticeable that all the course has an structure that takes you from the most beginning concept to the most advanced one. Another think that i really like is the time, the instructor is not waisting time reapating unnecesary concepts or ideas which makes videos shorter and clearer.

Really good course with well explained concise content. I liked that provided class-under-test were used throughout the course. Targets of testing that class were presented in a diagram in the beginning. Something to add into this course could be IntelliJ chapter for setting up the environment. Maybe some small challenges to be completed by the students would reinforce the learning.

Great course on Mockito! His way of organising the lectures and examples has made it very easy to learn Mockito. I deducted 1/2 star for two reasons: 1. The flashing animations in almost every chapter made me so uncomfortable that I wanted to deduct 2 stars. However, given the course content and his delivery style, I held myself from doing so. 2. He has not used the java.time API correctly e.g. he has written LocalDate.of(2020, 01, 01) which is error-prone for two reasons: (a) Java considers an integer prefixed with 0 as an octal value; therefore, if one uses 08 for a month or day in this style, the code will not be compiled (b) The error-prone java.util date-time API used 0-based month and many people who have used that confusing legacy date-time API are not confident if a month number is 0-based or 1-based. Therefore, one should use enum values e.g. Month.JANUARY instead of 1. Since it is not a course on Java, I discounted him for this as well.
