More than Certified in Terraform 2025 (Udemy.com)

This should be the de facto course for professionals trying to get to learn Terraform and even people with some experience with it. I particularly enjoyed and learned a lot from it since some concepts, that were still somewhat unclear to me even after almost 4 years working on Terraform, were explained in a very clear and concise manner. I only wish more functions were covered. But overall great job.

Very helpful, practice-oriented course. Methodically explained and easy to follow. The only drawback is that a lecture seems to be missing between parts 105 and 106 (according to the official website it should be 'Frontend Walkthrough 02:06'). Unfortunately this missing lecture is crucial to complete the AI Trivia section of the course. Otherwise, I really impoved my skills with the course, thank you!

I recently completed the "More Than Certified" course on Udemy, and I have to say, it exceeded all my expectations. This course doesn’t just prepare you to pass certification exams – it goes much deeper. I highly recommend "More Than Certified" for anyone looking to go beyond certifications and gain solid, practical knowledge. This course is a game-changer!

Generally pretty good and has given me all of the info (and a bit more) that I was hoping for. However, I feel that there could be a bit more context given around a few bits of the code or build - e.g. why we're taking this approach or what the desired outcome is - rather than diving in to the coding bit, and a few details were glossed over - e.g. the difference between using "[]" and "{}" in a For Expression, or how to save and quit out of VI (not all of us are Linux experts!) Also some of the lesson videos have become out of date with the technologies they reference - e.g. there's now a "network_data" block in the container state where the IP needs pulled from, and the GUIs for both AWS and Terraform Cloud (or HCP Terraform as they're now calling it) have changed quite a lot, making it a bit difficult to find the right options at times. None of these are a huge issue, and I appreciate the tutor keeping the key info/videos up-to-date, but it feels like some more of them would be better updated sooner rather than later.

terraform is a powerful IaC tool. to learn it put great benefit on your DevOps workflow. The caveat is it is evolving so fast. Morgan did a great job on teaching via tons of hands-on videos which bases in a very dynamic land of terraform yet he did a great job. Loved the course from the beginning to the end. All concepts are still applicable.

The amount of information provided in this course is mind boggling. It is an excellent course of a very high standard and the instructor has an engaging style and makes suer that the student understands the salient features of terraform. I highly recommend this course and look forward to more courses from you.

I took this course to refresh my Terraform concepts to re-certify (only to find out later my expiration date was extended). Overall I enjoyed the course. Derek is very easy to understand and provides careful insight to real practical usage of Terraform and IaC in general. Learning the way Derek teaches is the best way...building different scenarios. I would caution anyone learning Terraform for the first time to make sure you have foundational knowledge of Docker Container, Linux and AWS. Containers is not an area of strength/interest for me so the first section 3 was very hard for me to follow because it was net new material. I'm an AWS guy, section 4 is where I was really able to dig in.

Derek does a phenomenal job of explaining abstract concepts by giving you hands on examples and demonstrations. The best part about this course imo, is the fact that you're not just memorizing multiple choice answers. You'll have to really challenge yourself to complete some of the lessons. This is the best way to learn a new Technology. Highly recommend.

The instructor was very knowledgeable. I can't say anything different about that. However, there are some issues I have with this course... 1. The course was created back when Terraform was version 0.14. Currently, it is 1.0.10. 2. Terraform cloud has also changed some aspects of their pages in the time that has passed since this course has created. It is not a huge deal, but it is distracting when you are trying to concentrate on the coursework. 3. Please slow down and allow people time to type. At times you go much too fast, and I can type 75 wpm. 4. There were a couple times throughout the course where you discovered typos and asked us to correct them in the next section. Many of these times I found myself applying the configuration and having to go over the code to see where the error was. Please consider re-recording this course instead of adding notes to support version changes. At this point, there are just too many of these changes and they are a distraction from the learning. Please don't misunderstand me, this was a great course. I found it valuable. You covered lots of great material and I appreciate that you put this together to help us progress.

one of the best cources i have found in terraform, Topics are very well explained. Moreover implimentation of Docker makes it very easy and so quick to practice terraform. Many new things to learn apart from just a normal terraform course and that's what makes this more then terraform course. Stay Blessed !!
