Pretty much useless for me. I was hoping to get into some real practical music making, not spend a whole section of the course going through every Ableton setting.

Very well structured Introduction for complete beginners such as myself. The Instructor speaks clearly and explains everything in a well understandable fashion. Also it's free, so you couldn't really complain even if it was terrible. Which it isn't. It's quite good. Thanks a lot :)

This was a free course that was basically enough to get me ready and learning Ableton Live. Enough to get you hooked and want to purchase access to the full course by Tomas George. Which, I ended up doing. I will warn you, he focuses a lot on things in Live 9 Standard over Live, so some options may not apply that he discusses.

I would have liked to have had a little more description of the items in audio preferences. What they actually do and how they should be set depending on performance of your chosen computer. I'm sure this is probably covered in the full version, though getting these set accordingly before you begin messing around with ableton fully I found to be hugely beneficial. Otherwise, very easy to understand course with lots of useful knowledge to ease the daunting size of the program.

Great intro to Ableton. I'm a Pro Tools and Maschine user interested in Ableton. I know DAWs very well, but wanted to see the workflow of Ableton. This is a great, simple introduction to the basic operation and workflow of Ableton. If/when I purchase Ableton, I will definitely get the full course.

Just started this course. The instructor really knows not only about the materials, but also how to teach properly. His explanation is clear and he used his time effectively, putting a lot of information in short videos. I recommend this course for those curious with Ableton Live.

This review covers everything I wanted to know about Ableton: how to record acoustic instruments in it, how to place tracks in the left or right channel, how to add reverb, et cetera. I feel fully ready to begin working with Ableton now. It is all explained so concisely.

A great looking course, would have been nice to see how he was recording the track by a camera on his midi device. but if this video is anything to go by the course is going to be fun and interesting. signing up for more? Definitely!

By Michael Elliott on 1/11/2017

Really good starting overview to Ableton Live. The program is a little overwhelming when first opened, and Tomas does a great job of highlighting the key things you need to know to get started. I'd suggest adding a small amount of material on creating a basic beat, selecting/adding a synth to a midi track, and maybe slightly more on audio effects (overview, not detail). But I'll bet these are covered in his Complete course.
