Mohammad Azam's course teaches MVVM for iOS through three builds: a news app, a coffee ordering app, and a GoodWeather app that carries the second half. The syllabus shows 66 lectures over about 6.7 hours, with sections on a web services layer, bindings, and two on unit testing. It expects some Swift and iOS experience, and familiarity with MVC helps. About 21,000 students have enrolled.

Reviewers like the plain explanations and the variety of example apps, and one says the unit testing sections gave them ideas for cleaner code. One notes that Azam replies to reviews actively. The complaints are consistent, though. Students mention sections marked Legacy that repeat material with a different project structure, a SwiftUI section whose code breaks on different simulator screen sizes, and a binding chapter that some found hard to follow. Older reviews also say the split between Model and ViewModel confused them.

The course was last updated in July 2023, but it was first recorded in 2018, and one reviewer says some web APIs have changed since. Great course, plain and simple explanations and examples. The only part that needs to be fixed and updated is SwiftUI: current examples are not working correctly in different screen sizes of various iPhone simulators.

Great course with important lessons and relevant topics. The different types of apps helped me to understand better the MVVM Pattern and with the Unit Testing Sections i had some ideas to improve my quality code.

Everything was good until section 10 , then some legacy comes and everything messed up . You should link section 10 and section 14 till end . Delete legacy section . And most important thing Binding chapter is not linked with section 10 so it becomes hard for me to understand what happening . Please delete legacy videos and link section 10 and 14 til end . Another point you haven't practically shown binding . For example view to viewModel binding you have shown doesn't take any affect on good weather app . Please update binding chapter

It explains MVVM design pattern by putting it to practice but could be better during the introduction of it. The concept of binding was well explained. The course was not consistent in using the best coding practice in all the demo apps. The Good Weather app was not elaborative enough to explain the chain of information flow from Models -> ViewModels -> View. It was basically ViewModels -> View.

Good course. Application of new and interesting concepts in swift. Certain sections seem to be quick so had rewatch again to fully grasp but overall i gained a better understand of the concepts taught.

The teacher knows a lot and is very direct, doesn't waste time. For those who are not a complete beginner this is very good. For those who are, just review what you have doubts and or search on Google. What was really missing was the persistence, Core Data and Realm part. How to fit it all into the MVVM. This has not been addressed. And it left much to be desired for this reason.

Unfortunately there are not many courses on mvvm with ios. This is the first course I found on mvvm with swift, it’s a good course and explained with easy to learn language

What a great course.... It was very well organized and very easy to follow along. It would be great if a section could be added that covers the persistant storage of the added and removed cities. I would also really like to see more info on bindings, since that is a little bit of a gray area for me. Keep up the great work and I look forward to future courses of yours.
