REVIEW: 'I enjoyed this course very much. Instructions were very clear. I appreciate the "mistakes" and how to correct them. I feel more confident in painting trees. Thanks' Lynn EdenPainting trees in a watercolorlandscape can be a challenge. Getting the right shape andcolourscan give you a watercolorpainting headache.
Not anymore. My simple and clear video demonstrations will have you watercolorpainting a variety of believable trees with confidence.
I have created a portfolio for you to use as a basic guide to tree painting. I have chosen common trees, both deciduous and evergreen and some exotic varieties too. Even if you don'r have exactly the same trees in your part if the world, my selection can be easily adapted to suit what you do have. Following my videos willsoon have you watercolorpaintingtrees at different times of the year, singly or in groups.
I have deliberately kept the color palette simple for your convenience, but of course that palette may vary depending on what trees you have around you.
ANDrememberif you can get theshapeand thecolorright, then you should end up with a believable tree,so relax and just enjoy the process of the doing.

Why choose one of my courses?
Because, as a self taught artist I understand how a lot of people feel about their creative work, sometimes anxious, sometimes overwhelmed and often that it's not 'good enough'.
Well I will hold your hand as you overcome these fears as I offer a friendly, relaxed and sensitive teaching style.
Do one of my courses and you will feel as if I am in the room with you every step of the way.
Here's a bit about me.
I originally trained as a graphic artist, and then followed a different career path working in the national media, travel and public relations in both London and Paris.
After sometime I returned to my creative roots full time, so to speak, and became a full time artist, teacher and creative entrepreneur.
The artist bit means I have worked in a variety of media, but am currently splashing about with watercolours. I love the magic they make when the pigments play with the water. And if you let them do their own thing, it's even better.
I have also painted murals in a child's bedroom or around a swimming pool, covering everything from fairies to Tuscan views. Painted furniture with decorative effects and designs and given walls specialist paint effects and stencils. All fun stuff for the discerning home owner
The teaching bit involved me teaching a 'Decorative Paint Effects' section of an interior design certificate course at Kidderminster Col

Lots of fun and good practice!

I truly enjoy watching Nicola... her joy is infectious. I really enjoy that she reminds the artist (or artist in dreaming) not to worry about being perfect. Nature is perfectly imperfect and I find myself now looking at trees completely different. They are all scattywampus. I like that.

Nicola makes it all seem like such fun. My wife says I have a gift. I am just a novice. My sister, the artist of the family who took all the art classes in school, where I took the one required said my Udemy courses must be really working. She said I can paint something for her anytime and said that my paintings were REALLY good. I took Nicola's courses so I would have some ideal what I was doing when I spent extra time with my 8 year old who basically likes to have fun. It is fun being creative so who knows maybe I will make hand made cards for my friends or post some pictures in my house. I still have a lot to learn but I am having fun with it.

I am really enjoying this course. I think it probably deserves 5 stars but the question was if it exceeded my expectations. The fact is I expected it to be a good course and it is every bit as good as I expected. I enjoy doing all the exercises. Some of my efforts are good, others need more practice which I can do at my own pace in the future.
