Persuasion Masterclass: How To Powerfully Influence Anyone (Udemy.com)

The presenter is a "bro"; there was a number of times that were contradictions to what he was saying. A lot of stumbling on his words, and struggling to remember sources. "Do you understand?" "Are you following?" ... The videos would cut out a second or two of audio on multiple videos (currently running 2GB down/2GB up - so the issue is not on my end). The music playing in the background was distracting and should have only been played during transitions and not throughout the entire course. Hand gestures, while normally helpful when fluid, were very robotic and forced - also seen as distractions. The course would be possible to be cut to between 30 minutes and an hour at THE MOST due to what appeared to be repeating previous lessons every 3 or 4 times. Dropping the book references should have been also mentioned at the end of the course: "For additional resources, here are x number of books that you can read to expand further on the art of persuasion." The stories that were used as examples are clearly fallacy - stumbling to tell the stories. And even if true, the admitting to a confrontation with law enforcement is a HUGE red flag. I WILL NEVER recommend this person to anyone.

This course is the best one I've found so far. I mean really, a huge thanks to the teacher. The idea with the cheat sheets was very clever and as a visual learner this actually helped me understand the content and you get to keep the knowledge you've collected for later use! Highly recommended. For being so short this course is packed with information you can use daily and the best part is you can practice on anyone.

As a high school English teacher, it is critical to use persuasive skills through speech writing and through classroom management - simply getting them on my side or vice versa. That was why I originally felt the need to take this course. However, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the content was much more than just pathos, logos and ethos. The breakdown and organization of content was very effective and straightforward. Not only that, but it was extremely powerful to discover that the fundamental solution of all of this lies in the simple notion of deepening connections. The Final Thoughts (first video) was the most touching of all. You revealed what I've been looking for all along. Thank you for a truly thought provoking and enlightening course. I will definitely review my notes often to make sure I've internalized it and recommend it to others.
