Jerad Hill is such an amazing instructor. He has a lot of knowledge and he explains it in a way that is very easy to learn. I really enjoy his classes and I want to thank him so much for teaching me shooting with manual mode which was a nightmare for me before I watch his class. Best regards and respect to you sir. Mahdi

Nice course. Good info. Very informative, but could have been a bit more lively. Loosened up more toward the end lessons. Could have had more content showing the camera, settings, images, etc. Quite a bit of just him in front of the camera. I did like the course, and will go back through again for refresher info. Again, nice course.

Too good a course, Excellent. The way the course is conducted, the interest and curiosity increases and I enjoyed listening to Jerad Hill, even though he claims he speaks fast at times. The speed is perfect. I would like to be in touch and also attend other courses, preferably the free ones.

Easy to understand and informative for me as an amateur photographer still finding his way. Would love to see more information regarding what to edit in Lightroom, how do I know when a photo needs to be edited further and what to do to really bring it to life.

I was able to learned how to set manual mode as the title suggests (always used aperture priority mode). The course was explained clearly and the content was straight forward. I can tell he really enjoys sharing his knowledge. I've been away from photography for a long time and this course encouraged me to get back into photography (key is to have fun!) Thanks for creating this awesome course!

I'm really sorry but with all the um's, I found it very distracting and really had trouble getting back on focus. I actually counted the um's in lectures 27 and 28. Between the two sections there were 50 um's. Overall the commentary was very dry although I did find some very good tips in photographing people. I feel getting out of auto and into manual requires more demonstration than lecture. I would not recommend this course.

This is a good introduction to DSLR photography, covering the basic elements, leading up to working in Manual. Some nice tips, including lighting, and Jerad's general settings for different kinds of photography, eg, portraits. He also encourages people to play, explore and enjoy their photography. There was a little bit of repetition, but overall helpful for photographers getting started. Thank you, Jerad.

Hey, I took your course on Udemy and it was a great course. I learn a bit more about photography in school but i didn't complete the second year in cause I went to something eles and so I'm trying to learn more about it and to increase my knowlage in photography. I don't know yet if I'm going to make this a hobby or something eles. But anyway, you did a great job and you really pulled me into this course and no I don't think you talk too much. You made feel as if I was there like in a class room and felt indulge into the course. Thank you so much and I hope I get to share with you more of my photo when I get into taking pictures.

Jerad's class "Ditch Auto - Start Shooting in Manual" is a great introduction to photography. Each session is comprehensive and provides enough information to take your camera and begin working on a topic. Jerad Hill is a great instructor. Classes are interesting and complete. In short: an excellent class.
