Ditch Auto: Editing Workflow in Lightroom & Photoshop (Udemy.com)

My rating after the first part of the course was: The Lightroom Workflow lecture feels like just watching someone playing around with the sliders. In addition, the size of the Lightroom toolbar and the image quality of the video make it really difficult to read which slider he's using. Now, at the end of the course, I upgraded my rating. The Photoshop part was much better than the one about Lightroom. Still, reading what the instructor selects is difficult but the content is much more interesting. I discovered some tools that I didn't know and that will clearly make my photo retouching easier and faster. Thank you.

I was an experienced Photoshop user at one time (in a galaxy far away), but I had been lacking in Lightroom and Photoshop integration. Also, for me, it was nice to see someone use quick selection and heal tools. I was not sure how to use them. Some these features are new for me. Thanks for updated knowledge.

Short but right. I already knew how to use Photoshop and Lightroom but i was actually looking for a course in order to understand the process of editing photos. What should I pay attention to, When a photo can be considered done and stuff like that. Now I have an idea about it and I'm satisfied with the course.

Excellent I would like to learn how to get rid of Color noise. All my photos are of Dogs running agility mostly indoors with poor lighting . The room has a black rubber floor that always has lots of Color noise On My Canon T6i Screen it is not bad , but on my computer I always have to lighten it up a lot . Please help me learn how to get rid of the noise thank you. Steve

I truly enjoyed the lessons. Looking forward to taking your photography course. I love learning. You have many instructors...but not everyone does the same thing. In essence, you will find some tips and tricks to improve or enhance your own style whether it be photography, videography, and graphics. I especially liked the tips and tricks with selections. I did learn a lot. I am fluent in these software packages. Thank you for sharing your skills and wisdom.

It took the instructor quite a while to get into the actual topic. He is very slow, repeats things he just said and drags a lot. I have had to skip so many times because of this quite annoying.

Short 1-2 hour course, clearly spoken teacher and does what the course promises, teaches you a good but basic workflow using one example photo that require a bit of work. You will get to know some but not all of your key Adobe tools. Covers techniques for replacing sky, removing unwanted objects, photo enhancements. Does not cover: concepts of masking, feathering or many other popular techniques. But what is covered is well enough if you dont know the techniques Emphasis is on workflow after all. Videos can do with on screen annotations for short cuts used. I actually use Camera Raw/Bridge with Photoshop but it is actually exactly the same as Lightroom albeit laid out differently. So everything he teaches about Lightroom, you can do in Camera Raw and Bridge. This was a free course so many thanks to the lecturer for this. I have been using Adobe suite for a while but I still found this useful and picked up a few tips.

This course might be for you if you have very little experience with Lightroom or Photoshop, if you've used both for awhile it might be worth looking elsewhere because this course doesn't get into details or technical techniques. If you find it on Udemy for free it might be worth watching just to see how others may be using these applications.

This course, if not giving you the push you need to jump in Lightroom and Photoshop, will at least give you the true impression that photo handling/correction isn't just for the pros; you too can easily have great output pictures with professionnal tools! This is a great course. With some basic knowledge of Lightroom, Photoshop and Adobe Camera RAW I think anyone shouldn't have a problem following this course. Yup, Jerad do talk a lot once in a while :), but at the end he just want to make sure you understand what he's talking about. Great course and and I highly recommended it to anyone :)
