This is a short, project-based Java practice course from Tim Short, about 3.4 hours across 39 lectures. The syllabus shows three builds: an email administration app, a student database app and a bank account app, with the bank account project taking more than half the runtime. It is pitched as interview prep, but the content is closer to a refresher on object-oriented basics. It assumes someone already knows the Java environment, arrays, inheritance and interfaces.

Reviewers like the step-by-step pace and say it builds confidence and shows how a small project comes together. The loudest complaint, repeated across several years, is that the description promises five projects and only three exist. Some called that false advertising, and one said the instructor never answered questions about it. One reviewer found the apps do not really do anything, since no real emails are sent and there is no database connection. One reviewer felt Tim Short's coding was unplanned, and another found his speech fast and unclear at times.

the instructor has no plans on his teaching. His basic project outline yes but how to go about it he was coding it and thinking about how to do it on the fly. He even made mistake beginner programmers would make. I would say he is a some what better than a beginner java programmer who created this side gig probably to earn extra

The course initially promised five projects, but it only included three. I found the projects to be excellent and extremely valuable in terms of what I learned. However, I was hoping for additional projects, preferably two more as indicated in the course description. I would love to see new and intriguing concepts related to collections in these future projects, as they would provide even more interesting opportunities for learning.

This course was a good walk through of Java skills and practice. However, I purchased this course after reading the description which stated there would be more than 3 projects that you complete. And I have noticed within the q&a section this is a common issue a lot of people are reporting as there is only 3 projects available. As well, the creator of this course does not respond to this query what so ever.
