This was an excellent course which gave me a ton of insight on how to become an effective counselor. I've been sort of an "unofficial counselor" to many people throughout my life and am happy to finally receive the certification to begin my calling of becoming an official counselor.

I didn’t get any actual techniques from this. It’s mostly about how to set up the session. But there wasn’t any useful information at all about techniques to help. I don’t feel like I really learned any problem solving techniques. It’s incomplete. This course needs a whole other section just on tools to help the client.

Something I learned was it's important to be honest... but not BRUTALLY honest and to speak with consideration and not be blunt or come across as rude. I also learned that it's helpful to challenge dysfunctional behavior and beliefs and ask what they mean with some of the words the client uses.

Loved the course. Got a lot of insights into my own experiences in life that I could relate to. Will be using the learnings to further my work professionally to help myself 'grow & evolve', and to help others as well.

This course is well prepared and easy to understand it. It has made my perception towards life changes especiaslly when I read case studies. I feel equipped with skills that I can use for myself and clients.
