Course Description
What's the difference between an entrepreneur or product manager that finds the right idea, brings stakeholders on board, and effectively communicates their vision and one that doesn't? A prototype. Yes, the ability to make prototypes can work wonders with your startup or organization. A prototype allows you to not just imagine a product, but make it real. No more spreadsheets or vague verbal descriptions. Show your users and your team exactly what you want and get taken seriously.
Whether you're a solopreneur or part of a larger organization you need to be able to effectively turn ideas into real, tangible working demos. This course is focused on giving you, the digital professional, the ability to rapidly assemble and deploy working web and mobile prototypes in just a few hours. The best part about this course is that we're going to do it without code. No programming, no technical books to study, no distractions from what you do best.
Entrepreneurs
Launch your MVP for free and start getting real user feedback today.
Cut through the fundraising noise and show investors something they can understand, a real product.
Stop guessing which feature is essential to your vision. Prototype it and test it this morning and have your answers this afternoon.
Cut your contracting costs by 50% and save yourself the headaches of misunderstandings and poorly compiled project specs.
Product Managers
Stop bugging your developer team to make incremental changes that they don't understand. Show them exactly what you need done and keep them out of the “is it worth it" debate.
Test new features and get user feedback before you make major changes.
Get organizational approval for initiatives by letting then use the exact thing you're proposing.
Designers
Bring some life to your PSDs and make them interactive.
Bridge the gap between design and development by removing any chance for miscommunication or misunderstanding.
Get more accurate feedback from users and reviewers by deploying your designs in their browser and phones.
Growth hackers
Cut your experiment iteration time in half and stop overloading your developer resources.
Web and marketing agencies
Get more projects approved and increase your billable hours by pitching your clients with prototypes.
Never waste time and money building something incorrectly. Prototype it and find out exactly whether you're on the right path.
Win over prospective clients by rapidly building their proposal and demo-ing it back to them. A huge advantage in the client acquisition game.
There's no course like this online. I'm going to walk you through how you can take an idea, conceptualize the requirements, and roll out a polished and professional prototype, without touching any code.
If you're trying to be successful online, do yourself a favor and learn this incredibly valuable skill.

Evan Kimbrell
Hi, I'm Evan Kimbrell. Thanks for checking out my course.
**My courses have been featured in Forbes, CNN, Entrepreneur Magazine, BusinessInsider, BuzzFeed, Mashable, TheNextWeb, The Daily Beast, & Techcrunch**
Currently, I'm the Founder and Director of Sprintkick, a full-service, referral-only digital agency based out of San Francisco. Over the past four years I've overseen the development and launch of over 100 web and mobile apps. Clients range from two-man bootstrapping startups to multibillion dollar Fortune 100s like Wal-Mart, Dick's Sporting Goods, and GNC.
Prior to Sprintkick I worked as a VC for a new firm called Juvo Capital, based out of L.A. I spearheaded the firm's expansion into Silicon Valley and into the Consumer Web tech category.
In the long long ago, I was a co-founder for an educational software startup called ScholarPRO that raised a ton of money and then spectacularly blew up (in the bad way). Before it exploded like the Death Star, I went through five tech incubators (yes, five): Tech Stars, Excelerate Labs, MassChallenge, Babson Venture Program, and Sparkseed.
Hope you enjoy my courses!

The first part of the course is an interesting take on gathering requirements and the prototyping process for beginners. However a large portion of the course focuses on an application that stopped functioning in Feb 2024 - Pidoco, so the course needs a significant update. There is a small section on and alternate application, Balsamiq that could be helpful.

My personal experience was that the trainer / coach was very thorough with his knowledge and content,...he had genuine desire to make every thing very clear for the participants....my only point of discontent with the entire course was the low or rather very bad quality of video...majority of the time the video was blurred and it was more like an audio presentation of the content which you cold hear but couldn't see on the screen. this needs some serious redoing as the participants would love to see on screen whats happening and the demo is , well, not there at all....

By learning from this course, it help me to visualize the idea, so team or customer is more easy to understand how the way of the system and application work. To make the lecture easy to understand, I suggest it would be better to show how to build one whole page sample of web prototyping or app prototyping.

In the first part of the course there are really useful suggestions on how to break down the usage and features of the application you want to prototype. I will definitely use them for my app. In the second part Evan presents prototyping tools and their features. I found this section somehow boring since most of these features can be "discovered" by playing around with the tools. What I really loved about the course was the enthousiasm and motivation you get by listening to Evan. I bought more of his courses because of this!

Because it covers pretty much what I expected about wireframing and also it sets real expectation between the person who is wireframing and the developers that will see at the prototype. It saves you a lot of time between what is relevant and what not.

The author forgot to show how the prototype would look like on a mobile phone screen or in a browser. In addition, it switches between several examples (Happy Hour mobile app and example site) without much continuity. That is, I think he should finalize one example to then go to the other, and end with a comparison between the two. But it's a good course.

I feel that I really learned a lot about prototyping. This course definitely taught me a new skill set that I will be able to use from now on. The course has a great flow and I am going to go through this course several times as I follow along and try new ideas/projects with wireframing and prototyping.
By Luz Garay on 8/11/2016
Another great course from Evan. Walking through the prototyping process really helped give me a much better understanding of how to build my own process and have something to show clients as I move forward with my own business. I really enjoy the conversational tone of the videos, and Evan does a great job of explaining not just the how's but the why's also. The only nit-picky problem that I had was that it seemed like the videos were the rough cuts. There were several times that it seemed like the video was meant to be edited (parts edited out), but it never was. Other than that, great course! I highly recommend!

This course is not just for entrepreneurs. Developers, designers, team managers all could benefit from this course. I think anyone interested in learning how to quickly put together a web or mobile app prototype will benefit. I am in the process of taking one of Evan Kimbrell’s other courses and like his pragmatic teaching style. When I ran across this one I decided to take it. I knew it would help me with my newest project and have already put some of this course into practice. This course can be finished in just a few evenings or a day if you have the time. If you like hands on and demos you can jump ahead to the later sections but I found the first two sections that cover the structure and methodology used by Evan Kimbrell's company to be well worth the time.

Evan does a great job walking you through the steps of prototyping. This is valuable skill to have. If you can quickly prototype your idea, you can test and refine it before spending a lot of time (and money) building it. Evan shows you the tools and technique for prototyping a website or mobile app. No coding is required.
