React, NodeJS, Express & MongoDB - The MERN Fullstack Guide (Udemy.com)

It has been challenging. Fortunately, I found an answer for each hiccup, but it has required some perseverance. I'd give it 5 stars, but it took some time to work through issues having to do with older versions and figuring out how to make corrections. The Q&A, along with completed code samples, was a lifesaver, but some things required independent debugging and corrections. Granted, there were a fair number of syntactical and coding issues of my own. One thing I did by myself was to make the necessary routing changes when upgrading from react-route-dom v5 to v6.

very good content, i learned from it a lot, i watched this course in Oct,2024. completed my university senior project and presented it with confidence all with the help of Allah, and the prophet Mohamed (messenger of Allah), and his guardian Imam Ali Bin Abi Talib (if you want to know more about imam ali read "the peak of eloquence" ) special thanks to the amazing instructors Maximillian and his friend. very cool guys. this course will always be recommended for those who decide that it's time to start learning and face the real world with confidence in Allah ( the creator of life ) and in their abilities.

This course is great for beginners, diving deep into some sections and providing alternative approaches and best practices. However, at times it was challenging to grasp concepts, and some parts were confusing. Additionally, some sections need updating, such as React Router, but this doesn't significantly impact the overall experience if you can find the updated information. The QA section helps clarify any uncertainties. However, I had a great time with this course.

There are some things that need updating, and the work order in building a real application will not really be like this, but it is built this way on purpose to simplify the concepts and the work order. Max's and Manu explanations are wonderful and the refeshares are great and there is the source code in case you get stuck. It cleared my mind. Recommended for beginner developers. Worth every dollar

This was my first full course on Udemy and I must say the Tutor and his team did a great work breaking down all the MERN technologies. I know it's not really a beginner-focused course, but the extra time invested into the React, Node and MongoDB refresher courses goes a really long way in refreshing one's memory and making the course content more understandable. I also love the way the Tutor always spends a short time talking about any new concept or technology he mentions while explaining things, really helps a lot. Overall I'll give this course 5 stars and be sure to recommend it to anyone looking to learn the MERN Stack!.

Good course. Overall really useful learning experience. You get to learn a lot about how to build and deploy a secure, and performance-optimized MERN App. Lots of information on how to connect the front and backend, which was precisely what I was looking to learn. I also expanded my knowledge in React and Node, which is very helpful, including learning “under-the-hood” knowledge of how authentication works. I think what would make this course better is 1) more guidance with the React.js challenging portions—I wouldn't say that “basic” React.js knowledge is sufficient, but rather “intermediate.” I and many other students as demonstrated in the comments felt that some parts of the React.js were challenging to understand, especially with the creating the custom hooks and input validation. In my opinion, I wish Academind taught these challenging lectures a bit better. 2) I was disappointed that in the end, deploying our app wasn't 100% complete, as images, a main part of the MERN app, are not saved onto Heroku's server. One additional lecture regarding connecting to AWS and saving images for more than 24 hours would be helpful. Regardless—thanks for the opportunity. Definitely learned a lot!

The course is really good, wast and Max has put lot of effort. I have learnt so many things and some very complex. Really appreciate Max for his efforts to help us. May be for future lessons, we can build end to end from front end to back end. Instead of front end, back end, then front end and then back end etc.

5 starts easily. This project will be used as my skeleton for my future applications. I recommend before you start this course, to have a deep look in React Hooks(useState, useEffect, useCallback and so on), because they are used quite extensively, in the frontend. Otherwise you will get confused and not be able able to follow the videos. But don't be scared. Max is a great instructor and explains everything at great depth.

Thank you Max for providing such a wonder full course , it is really helpful. I am React Js developer , working in JavaScript and other UI technologies for many years , in my experience this course will not be very easy for some one new to these technologies , it will be easier if student have some experience in React ,Express and JavaScript,

This is my review after finished the couse. I think this course is for "Practice". You need to have a good knowledge in React, Node and MongoDB. The teaching style may give you very very confuse, since sometimes I didn't know why instructor do this, but after I see the result, I can guess how it works, but it take me for many hours to wrap my head around. I think the instructor should explain the logic or steps and then implement, I think it will avoid the confusion and save my time (Not to go back and forth for rewatch videos). I also disappoint with the project after deployment, since the image is not permanently saved and some security logic like a cookie is not implement. But I rate 4.5 since I do learn more about react-hook especially custom-hook. And this course name is for "Guide Line" purpose, so I think the project is make sense for guildeline. I hope this review is helpful.
