Our take
Based on the ratings of 82 students, a sample of their written reviews and the syllabus, as the course stood in March 2017. No course pays to be reviewed.
This is a short Postman and REST primer from Testing World, running about 87 minutes across 22 lectures in six sections. It opens with web services, compares SOAP and REST, then sets up Postman and moves into sending requests and validating responses. Udemy labels it Intermediate, but the requirements ask only for basic knowledge of web services and browsers, and reviewers describe it as beginner material. The last three sections add up to roughly half an hour, so the hands-on part is thin.
Praise centers on simple, clear explanation. Mary Langer says she uses Postman at work with no formal training, and the explanation of when to use GET, POST and PUT helped her. Another reviewer liked the dummy project. The complaints are consistent too. Reviewers want real-world scenarios, collections, and authentication with token handling. One says the instructor keeps promising a Jira exercise that never arrives, another found the course's APIs no longer work, and one struggled to understand the speaker.
Of 82 reviews, the course averages 3.9 stars, with 28 five-star ratings and 13 at one or two stars, so opinion is split. It was last updated in March 2017, which fits the report of dead practice APIs. Treat it as a quick orientation for a newcomer. Anyone who already sends requests in Postman will likely learn little, and one reviewer felt YouTube lectures were better.
Pros
- Explains web services and REST before Postman, so newcomers get the context
- Plain, simple wording that beginners say is easy to follow
- Covers when and why to use GET, POST and PUT, which a working user found useful
- Only about 87 minutes, so it is a quick first pass at the tool
Cons
- Last updated in 2017, and a reviewer says the course's APIs no longer work
- No authentication, token handling or collections, which reviewers wanted
- Thin on practice: no quizzes or coding exercises, and a promised Jira exercise never appears
This course explains the different aspects of using Postman. When and why to use GET, POST, PUT etc. found that very helpful.
Listed as Intermediate, but reviewers treat it as beginner material. Basic web knowledge is enough to follow.

Difficult to understand (language barrier). Speaker perhaps needs to slow down and enunciate.
By Steve Millard on 2/20/2018
Course covered the basics, but I'd like to have seen more about how to save and organize my requests. Sections on creating collections, and more about the code snippets would have been nice to have. Nothing wrong with the course, just would have liked to have more of it.
By Mary Langer on 12/22/2017

Not explained how we use postman in organization mainly the process & missed basic features (Authentication) how to login to applications, storing cache & passing token id's with response.

The course covers very simple straight forward basics. You need go into more complexities of API Testing with POSTMAN covering real world scenarios.
By Jaya Manchanda on 7/27/2017
I had no prior knowledge of API testing, but now I am pretty much comfortable after watching the lectures in the course. I highly recommend this course for everyone who wants to upgrade their skill set in testing field
By Elliott Devlin on 5/25/2017
Covers the basics well but more examples/exercises would have been good. The instructor repeatedly mentions a more complex exercise involving Jira is coming up later in the course - but it never does.
By Manish on 5/10/2017
Information provided by the trainer is very nice and in very simple words which anyone can understand easily. Also the Dummy project makes really good understanding of the API Testing...
