Salesforce Lightning Framework (Udemy.com)

It was confusing as naming convention are not followed, its very important to know from where the variable are defined, "searchkey", was confusing to know if it a event, a attribute or a variable. It would have been ideal to name the event as EventSearchKey.. so on and so forth. All the code are not available in the gitHub, some of the controller are not available.

Instructor has great enthusiasm about the subject. Only few observations from me while I was following the turorial: 1) You have made a great tutorial, using a stylus instead of window's paint brush will be a great add-on. 2) You have talked about listing, selecting a particular record. Adding more section to row a record and updating it would be great. 3) Talk about MVCC model at the beginning of the course. Anyways, great tutorial and I would definitely recommend to my team.

Deepika did deliver a good course. The good: - covered enough material at a reasonable pace making me conversant quickly with Lightning components and apps. - code examples were relatively consistent encouraging me to understand. B follows A, C follows B. That sort of thing. The bad: - at least one duplicated lesson. As it turns out this wasn't fatal to the purpose. It appears to elaboration that I understood any way. - some code was not explained well. - there was no help thinking how to extend what's learned at after each lesson or at least periodically. Summation - this course starts you on your journey with Lightning development. Does not help you think further - that's left up to you.

The course was overall satisfactory - I now well understand Salesforce Lightning Framework. Overall Deepika explained well, but the relationship between components, controllers and events could have been done better with a simple diagram (I ended up watching the videos time and time again to build up the overall picture in my mind). Some source code was missing from both Udemy and GitHub, which also meant I had to view the video time multiple times to figure out my errors, and fill in the gaps with web search. Overall, good. But, could be much better!

The comments are based upon my experience with the course so far. These areas may be covered in later part of the course. 1. Pace of the course, speed of narration, could have been slower at least for the initial sessions. 2. Practical use cases could have been incorporated. 3. Examples could have been more related to real life scenarios and bit more bigger/complex. 4. There could have been an app that was developed/progresses as we go ahead in the course.

This was a useful course however the simple stuff was quite repetitive and I felt we moved through the Lightning events quite fast which were quite complicated. For the lightning events, an initial diagram would have helped of all the parts and concepts- we plunged straight into the code and a few times I got lost. Also I could not find all the code (Search Key Bar controller)

As a Beginner, the tutorial is beneficial. It will have been better if more scenarios have been covered. The git repo link content is not the same as the tutorial content; alternate is to follow the course and build your own. Overall for beginner to get a good understanding of Salesforce Lightning, it is worth getting this course.

I took this course to learn the basics of Lightning development, and the course sufficiently did that. The narration was fairly good, but could be better. The source code in GitHub was disappointing, as some of the assets were not complete or synced with the final solution (QuickContacts.app and ContactDetails.cmp) and some were not there at all (ContactListController.js and ContactDetailsController.js)

Very easy to follow and the way deepika taught lightning was excellent. We could not have a better lightning course than this one. The best thing about this course is, this is a very short course but still covers the most important aspects and all the basics.

I am glad I found this course on udemy. I wish I had the option of rating this course greater than 5 Stars. The instructor's style is engaging and she starts from the basics and builds upon them. Looking forward to the Advanced lightning course. Way to go!!!! Updated on 9/29/2017 Just reviewed the course again. Enjoyed it a lot. My only wish was that the instructor updates the course with the content of the latest releases of Salesforce or create a new course on Advanced Lightning development. Also please add more realtime projects to your courses. I feel that is where the real value is.
