Course Description
As Leaders and Managers, or anyone who interacts with other people, situations of interdependence, conflict, competition, and cooperation are something you deal with everyday. But it is often a challenge to deal with these situations. How do you deal with them ? How do you know for sure, if a certain strategy will work, or not, and under what circumstances ?
Wouldn’t it be nice if there were some logical, or even mathematical way to deal with such situations ?
Yes there is ! Game Theory !
Game Theory can help you do just that. It models and analyzes several situations of Interdependence, Cooperation, Competition and Conflict. And, over the decades, this has given rise to powerful lessons, concepts and strategies. Game Theory provides a systematic way for us to model, and analyse, how to navigate throughpersonal and group decisions, in interdependent, collaborative, and competitive situations.
Armed with relevant knowledge of Game Theory Concepts, and its cool Strategies for Competition and Conflict Management, you can learn how to encourage Cooperation and Team Spirit, and effective ways to manage Conflict. Grow your Network of Interdependence and Success, while navigating and managing the minefield of day to day conflicts and competition, successfully !
This Toolkit of strategies from Game Theory will help you upgrade your Leadership Skills and Management Strategies significantly.
You will learn about different types of Game theory scenarios, like Fair Division, The Prisoner’s dilemma, the Ultimatum and Dictator games, the Public Goods Game and the Tragedy of the Commons, as well as slightly more complicated concepts like the Shapley value. And you will learn how to apply these strategies to the day to day situations and problems you face.
Since this is a Beginner to Intermediate level Course on Game Theory strategies, it does not get into complicated mathematical modeling, or probabilities.

A nice distilled version of the standard Game theory course that gets straight to the point. I see a mix of game theory and psychology (human behavior), expected more of classical game theory.

I learned a wide range of knowledge about game theory without excessive depth. This has opened up my interest to delve deeper. I was particularly interested is Shapley as these will apply to my understanding of ai.

I am able to take away some of the theories and put them to practice. The course enabled me to understand the backend order to the chaotic façade. I would have loved if the the instructor's voice modulation would have been more appropriate to the content / context being delivered. The voice modulation could be made more conversational. It would also be great if the number of quiz questions be increased to a respectable 5-7 per section.

A really good course on Game theory. I wasn't interested in the Mathematical side of Game theory and was only looking for practical ways of looking at the subject. The course gave some very good ways at looking at cooperation and how how we can improve team work!

Brilliant course! The professor explains everything clearly and very slowly. People can decide what speed students want to learn. I would recommend the course to management graduates and aspirants.

The course is well timed. It does not go into too much Mathematical details, which is a good thing for students like me in the field of management, who are more inclined towards learning real life application of the concept.

A nice overview of game theory, but a better worded and more detailed understanding of game theory can be obtained by simply reading Wikipedia.

A clear and simple introduction of game theory applied to the business context. A very interesting topic. Maybe some more example could be helpful :) The teacher answers quickly and offers additional resources to clarify the problems.
